Claudia gets all of three steps into the bar before she stops and grins. Now this is the construction toy outbreak she's been waiting for.
So she turns around.

A while later, she comes back with a stack of papers in her arms, making a beeline for the furnace. If anyone were to get a good look at the papers, they appear to be records about someone, with a few notes mixed in about just how old the data that makes them up actually is.

She figures it's time she put some of this Todd craziness behind her.

Later in the day, Joshua wanders into the bar, and stares more than a little at what he's seeing. "So this is what Claud meant by a Lego takeover." He's more than a little fascinated, more than a little curious.

"Not only Legos, brother dear."
By this point, Claudia's burninated the countryside Todd files, and is playing with the multitool she got in their place. Far as she can tell, it's got just about everything but the kitchen sink.
This is totally her kind of holiday.

Joshua sneaks up behind her and ruffles her hair a bit. "Whatcha' got, little sister?" He's actually in a rather good mood, as the end to all of this crap he's been dealing with lately is in sight.

[claudiometer]

"Hey!" That's a swat coming his way for his trouble.
"I got a shiny new toy. Definitely a lot lighter than the crap I burned to get it."
And she suspects it does a lot more than anything of this size ought, but THAT'S OKAY.

He mostly dodges the swat. "Wait, how did you burn stuff to get a thing?" Joshua is a well-educated human being, we swear. "Is that related to all of the construction toys?"

[claudiometer]

"Yeah. Shove old shit in the furnace, get a new shiny. How I got my tool belt."
This is just the first time she'd had cause to use it since her first Cubefall.

Joshua plunks down beside Claudia. "Huh." That's probably a dangerous thinking face, Joshua. "So how the shit does that work? Is the thing you get related to what you burn up? And how old does the burned up stuff have to be?"

[claudiometer]

"No clue how it works, and this pile of stuff was from October, so not that old?" Claudia shrugs. "But the idea is kind of an 'out with the old, in with the new' thing."
And it's the most secure way she can think of to get rid of some of these file collections she's built up on people.

[damncompass]

"Hm." Joshua leans back in the chair, mind wandering. "So, get rid of old shit, and get some kind of shiny." Beat. "Does it actually help you put it behind you, or is it just symbolic?"

[seat_five_girl]

"Happy Cubefall!"

Time to take a table apart and rebuild it. (Better, strong...)

[claudiometer]

"Damn right." Claudia grins. "Best holiday ever."
Even if the part she mainly takes advantage of is the catharsis part. Let's shove this stuff in the furnace and see what happens!

Ako would probably do more of that, but between being Bound and the Sylladex... Actually the sylladex raises an interesting point.

She's got a huge bundle of wrapping paper in there somewhere.

"I like the asking part," says Ako, "It's very polite."

[claudiometer]

"Yeah, it is. Haven't even looked at that yet - I went home and grabbed this stuff instead."
It's also unlikely she'll choose one; she hasn't to date. But it's still interesting.

"As long as I remember to check for thumbs it's been good to me," says Ako, "Or wings. Flying is pretty cool."

But thumbs mean you can build stuff, so that's a big up vote.

[claudiometer]

"I can see where it would be. But this time around I think I'm leaning more toward the catharsis end of it."
And what she gets for her trouble is... "Huh. This is a pretty cool little gadget."

"Nifty. Let me just-"

Ako dumps out her load of building toys on a table and, frowning, begins to pull packages covered in wrapping paper out and set them on a table. Items are quickly sorted into two stacks: one where there was something inside once the paper is removed and the other which is paper all the way down apparently.

"I should have cleaned this out weeks ago."

[claudiometer]

Claudia shrugs. "I'm not one to judge."

Charles looked over his options and quickly turned around again before he spotted Claudia,

"Any plans or just building to build?"

[claudiometer]

"Just building so far, but who knows what'll happen next. That and I took advantage of the catharsis stuff."
The stack of files she had, if the mental image is any indication, was huge.

"Oh, I'll have to try that at some point though I don't have anything I need to let go of. Its more things that I'd like to have,"

He sits down and starts building a little fort.

[claudiometer]

"Some years I do, some years I don't. Hit me the other week while I was doing the sound system stuff that I should really put all that Todd stuff to bed, and what better way than burning it in an interdimensional space?"
Then no one else can get a hold of it!

"Should I ask who he was?"

[claudiometer]

"Boyfriend, for like two weeks." Glasses, kinda cute in a dorky way.
"And then he dumped me for what I thought was no apparent reason, but it turned out he's in witness protection and I freaked out his handler. All of that was me getting behind the data and figuring out it was a cover story."

[balancingminds]

"That sounds difficult. I can understand wanting to put it behind you,"

His fort is coming together in a nice way and he starts looking around and finds the figures.

[claudiometer]

Claudia shrugs. "Might try finding him again, after the trial's had time to happen. But I don't need a bunch of stuff about a cover story he probably doesn't have anymore anyway."
Her own Lego project seems to be shaping up as a launch pad.
