[OOM: In which Autor faces the impracticality of women's clothing, and his inability to put them on.]

There's a girl in the bar today, hunting down very specific Lego pieces and placing them in one of five bags. She's wearing glasses and trying to ignore how her grey school uniform's skirt cuts off above the knee and flares out like a tutu.
Don't startle her. Her stance is fairly unsteady, so she might tip over. Again.

"Special project?"
The woman asking is small herself, under 5 feet, and a plain outfit in brown and green, except for a bright blue scarf worn as a belt and a black ribbon on her right wrist. Also, her ears are pointed.

"Oh!" she says, and turns--slowly--to face the new person. Autor places a hand on a nearby table and nods. "Of a sorts."
Autor gives her a once over, to see if he recognizes her as a regular patron--which he doesn't--so he'll assume she's someone transformed or just someone he hasn't met yet. In his current form, he's not much taller than she is.
"Planning to build anything for the holiday?" she asks, shaking the bags on her arm.

Well, that rules that out. Who are you?
Autor grins at her as cheerfully as he usually wouldn't. "New transformation, then? Isn't Cubefall grand?"
no subject
Or wings. The wings can be pretty cool too.
no subject
Autor blinks at her. Does this mean she doesn't normally have thumbs? Or is she just referring to the other Cubefall options?
He didn't even look at the others.
"It sounds like you've done this before, then?" she asks as she picks up another tiny piece. "What has been your favorite transformation?"
no subject
It's a good question.
"Being a robot that looked human was pretty cool, but so was flying as a bird. It's hard to choose."
no subject
"You've been a bird?" she asks. "Were you unsteady at first? I can't imagine the transition would be easy."
She plucks a few more pieces, keeps three, and discards two. "Do you often build things around the holiday?"

Autor nods. "I assume you didn't break anything. How long did it take you to get the hang of it?" she says, and cants her head. "And actually, what were your other options this time around?"
Actually, all this bird talk has given her an idea. A foolhardy, stupid idea.
So a potentially great one.
no subject
"What sort of options did you get?"
no subject
Autor shrugs. "I didn't look at most of them. I'm more concerned with building things right now."
Which means she now knows that I've changed, too. Now the game might get very interesting, indeed.
no subject
"Hence the lego sorting."
no subject
Autor is always playing something, but she doesn't know him. Nor do most people know that he's playing.
"Yes, indeed," she says, and waggles her backs back and forth. "Because why not work on more than one project at once?"
no subject
She shakes her head a little, "Different people focus differently, of course."
no subject
"Fair enough," she says, nodding. "If one were to mix up pieces from one work to another... Huh, now I'm wondering what would happen if you throw things at random?"
no subject
no subject
"Well, we won't know unless we try it," she says.
Into the furnace go some pieces, out of the furnace comes a handful of green glop. "Hm. I wonder if the result varies from person to person. Did you want to try?"
She tosses the sticky substance in again and makes... a little deer sculpture. Made from glop.
"This holiday is ridiculous."
no subject
"Sure, more blocks or would you like me to try the statue?"
no subject
"Either one!" the girl chirps, offering the deer. "Or both. Maybe you'll make statues of your own, who knows?"
no subject
After taking the statue and setting it aside, it's a few moments work to pick out a small handful of blue blocks and snap them into a rough curve before feeding them into the furnace.
"That's... odd," she says at the blue hair band that comes out.
no subject
"Hmm," she says, cupping her chin in her hand. "Well, you don't have much hair to put up with it, but you could definitely flick it at someone across the bar."
She grins. "Why not throw it in the furnace again?"
no subject
And blinks at the small blue rose apparently made out of crystals that appears.
no subject
"Oh, goodness," the girl says, peering at it. "I don't know what that does, but it sure is beautiful. To think that it came from a hairband."
She grins again. "Again, this holiday? Completely ridiculous."
