Beware the were-wolves!!

Tonight, tomorrow and on Friday night are the three nights around the full moon, when the wolfmen may roam freely outside, as is their right. Do not go out while the moon is out, so you will not be bitten! Inside, you are safe as ever.

That posted, Teja goes and sits at a table in the middle of the room, working on some papers from Security. There are ever more papers to be seen to.

He is making a report of the dealings with Tepesh.

The Fool reads the notice and then in his own elegant script adds "Unless you want to be bitten. Which might be interesting!"

"For a given value of interesting," says somebody behind the Fool who, apparently, has seen him write his comment.

"Well everything is a given value of interesting," the Fool says easily. "Somethings are just more interesting than others depending on the person."

"And their interest in being werewolves," Dr. Lecter says.

"I've heard it might be interesting. The stories certainly are."

This is said with the sort of passing interest of 'maybe I'd try it if the opportunity came up but I'm not going to go looking for it' sort of voice.

"A very conspicuous way of being a monster," Dr. Lecter muses.

[forgottenmotley]

"Or inconspicuous during a good part of the month." He scratches his nose thoughtfully. "Though I suppose it depends on what sort of werewolf you are, doesn't it?"

"Yes, they are as different as the vampires," Dr. Lecter says.

[forgottenmotley]

"I don't know many vampires... at all. Nor do I know any werewolves, beyond stories." There's a tilt of his head. "Do you know any?"

"Vampires, not werewolves," Dr. Lecter says.

[forgottenmotley]

"Are they nice?"

[cook_the_rude]

"I find them quite charming," Dr. Lecter states.

[forgottenmotley]

"Have you met many of them?" the Fool asks, leaning up against the message board. "What makes them charming?"

[cook_the_rude]

"The suave way with which they tailor and re-tailor their actions to the needs of their prey," Dr. Lecter says. "They are charming the way cheetahs are charming."

[forgottenmotley]

"I wouldn't know how charming cheetahs are. I've never met one before." Is he being literal? Yup.

"Never been to a zoo?" Dr. Lecter smirks.

[forgottenmotley]

"Seeing a creature is a lot different than meeting a creature. I've seen many things around here and everywhere else, but that doesn't mean I know anything about them."

[cook_the_rude]

"How would you go about properly meeting a cheetah?" Dr. Lecter asks.

[forgottenmotley]

"I don't know. But apparently you've met one. How did you properly go about meeting it?"

Lecter's the one who compared vampires to cheetahs. Obviously he's the who must have met them before.

[cook_the_rude]

"I was allowed to meet the tame cheetahs that were following a performer at a small artistic circus around like worried greyhounds," Dr. Lecter says.

"That doesn't sound very charming," the Fool points out.

[cook_the_rude]

"Oh, it was," the doctor says. "Very winsome, actually. Just like the vampire."

[forgottenmotley]

"So, your idea of charming is a tame creature that is nervous and follows around a master, with no will of its own?"

We must get our terms straight.

[cook_the_rude]

"No," Dr. Lecter laughs. "I merely haven't met a proper cheetah in the wild. As far as I know, there are tame vampires as well."

[forgottenmotley]

"Then how can you compare a wild cheetah's charm to a vampire if you don't know what a wild cheetah is like?"

He's kinda chewing on this right now. Don't mind him.

"It is called imagination," Dr. Lecter says.
