Waco Kid Gift Drop-Offs, Slightly Millitimed
As usual, gifts are laid out for those who might reasonably expect them.
A box of 9 mm ammunition and a copy of Sammy Davis, Jr.'s Greatest Hits.
There's a brief note attached to the album.
May each New Year ahead be better than the last. Hope you find both of these gifts appropriate.
Happy Holidays,
Jim
A box of 5.56x45 mm NATO rounds, along with copies of the movies Frankenstein (the Boris Karloff version, of course) and Young Frankenstein on Blu-Ray.
A pair of appropriately sized tricorne hats.
A copy of The Most of P.G. Wodehouse, along with a copy of the Band's eponymous second album on vinyl. There's a note attached.
Some of this is good dancing music, if you'll recall. The book's in case I miscalculated on you having a record player.

These things. With Zardoz-style suspenders.
It's a gramophone record of a recording modified from its original speed to be playable at 78 rpm. Attached is a note.
Dear John,
Not sure if you'll be able to get your hands on a Victrola anytime soon. If you do, I don't expect you'll understand the style of music, but I thought you might appreciate the sentiment.

"Ohjeezuschristwhat--"
There's no note. As Tommy gapes in horror at it, Bar generously provides him with a message on a napkin that this thing is from Jim.
He gags a little.
No. Just no.
Using only two fingers, he picks the thing up by the suspenders, and holding it at arm's length, he races over to the fireplace and chucks it in. Nobody has to see something like that. Ever.
Grabbing his cup of coffee off the counter, he retreats through his door in case anyone saw him with it.
