[OOM: Upstairs, Sunshine and Autor get more than they bargained for out of MST3K'S Hamlet.]

After Sunshine's struggle with the flu and both her and Autor's respective worlds deciding to up the stress level, they'd decided enough was enough. So what better to ease some of that than with a movie night?

Autor and Rae are at the bar, picking up tasty popcorn and tea. Catch them before they head upstairs.

[OOC: Two pups, two muns, limited time only! Tag one or both!]

"Popcorn?" Dr. Lecter says. He's leaning on the bar and smiling at them.

"Traditional movie fare," Rae grins at Dr. Lecter from the far side of Autor, seeking the best way to balance the large bowl of freshly-popped popcorn, a smaller bowl of snacks, and a movie case, while still leaving a hand semi-free. "Though with tea, instead of beer."
cook_the_rude: (Acting human for your benefit)

"There are some very good beers, as we both know," Dr. Lecter says, mostly to Rae. "Hello, Rae. Hello, Autor!"
sunbaked_baker: (blazing smile)

"There are," she agrees, smiling. "But it's a night for tea."

Comfort food and movies.

"What movie are you going to watch?" Hannibal asks, looking from one to the other. "Were movies even invented in your time, Autor?"
sunbaked_baker: (you think so?)

[personal profile] sunbaked_baker 2014-02-26 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Bar gave us a production of Hamlet," Rae answers. "I've read it, and saw parts of various productions in high school Lit class, but I've never seen it all the way through."

"Oh, I hope it's the one with Kenneth Branagh," Dr. Lecter says. "The only movie version that has every single line Shakespeare wrote for that play."

"Probably," Rae agrees with Autor. Though she can tell Autor is itching to leave, so she gathers up the popcorn and snack bowls. "I've not heard of Kenneth Branagh, though hopefully we got a good one. We're in the Bar's hands, there. She supplied it."

"Let me have a look," Dr. Lecter says, holding out a hand for the movie.

Having gathered their food and things to head upstairs, Rae has to set down all the bowls again in order to hand over the movie.

Both case and disc are as nondescript as nondescript can be while still physically existing.
cook_the_rude: (Now you have roused his suspicion)

[personal profile] cook_the_rude 2014-02-26 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Keeping up the suspense, it seems," Dr. Lecter says, eyeing the DVD and case. "Or some illicit burnie. Or both."
sunbaked_baker: (you think so?)

[personal profile] sunbaked_baker 2014-02-26 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"A burned disc," Rae answers. "The discs and boxes of legit movies will usually have representative artwork or at least the logos of the companies who created it. But people can also use their comboxes to take the movie from one disc and burn the information onto another. Essentially making another copy of it while only paying for one."
cook_the_rude: (Actually really very deeply concerned)

[personal profile] cook_the_rude 2014-02-26 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"How very odd that the bar will give you one of those, as she can give you a legitimate-looking copy of whatever version she chose," Dr. Lecter says. "I wonder what she meant to say by this."
sunbaked_baker: (blazing smile)

[personal profile] sunbaked_baker 2014-02-26 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
"We'll figure it out. Since it's Shakespeare, there's probably a double-meaning in it," Sunshine smiles at them both. "Autor, we should probably head upstairs before our tea gets cold."
cook_the_rude: (Informal cannibal day on the beach)

[personal profile] cook_the_rude 2014-02-26 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, run along and have fun," Hannibal says, smiling a little.

"Oh, we will," Rae smiles, scooping up bowls and accepting the movie back. "See you later, Dr. Lecter."

Then she and Autor, laden with food and drink, begin making their way towards the stairs.

Dr. Lecter turns back to the bar, which is the last they see of him before they climb the stairs.-
