(no subject)

Dr. Hannibal Lecter is sitting a a table near the window, by himself, having dinner, civilised, well-presented and cooked by himself. He has made Boeuf Bourguignon, the version from Julia Child's cookbook, and is drinking a good burgundy wine with it.

For dessert, there are cupcakes on the table -- but they are not your usual cupcakes, which is probably the reason there is also a nice Mosel Riesling in a cooler, ready to be drunk with the cupcakes.

He will share those with any friends that come by, of course.

[[OOC: This EP is brought to you by the fact that the Hannibal fandom on tumblr today took this old post of mine and ran with it.]]

Autor heads past at a meandering pace, ignorant of Dr. Lecter's presence as his nose is stuck in Regimental Steins by Major John L. Harrell, Ret. He holds the book with his left hand, close to his nose and squinting at it, as his right is down at his side and stiff. He's clearly not moving it much.

Autor turns his head sharply, fixing a glare on the man. He slows his step just enough to say, "No, thank you. I was just heading on." And so he does, picking up the pace a little bit, shoulders and back straight.

"Nope," Autor says, almost flippantly, and keeps walking.

Autor would rather be silly than tormented. He'd like to ask whether or not Ava came after him, or about if he has seen Rae recently, or... But no, he'll cut his losses, find a better place to read, and count today as a victory.

The boy walks away without another word.
