Elrond is looking quite drawn and pale as he comes down the stairs, scanning the room in search of someone with a firm grasp of modern calming agents. {ooc: plot locked to Guppy}

There's one in the corner, with tea.

Elrond spots him and makes his way over.
"Greetings, Guppy Sandhu," he says, his voice pitched low.
"I was wondering if I could have a word with you. Regarding someone in my care."

"Sure, do you want tea?" Guppy pushes a chair out for him.

"Thank you," he says quietly, as he sits down.

"It regards Glorfindel, my seneschal. And my friend. He arrived here hurt earlier and I did what I could to stop the flow and clean the wound. He had been struck here," indicating a point above his hipbone, "At an angle. I am almost positive that what damage that had been done to his insides has been set right and that the evil the weapon carried with it has been purged, but the wound is still too deep and too open. I should like to stitch it closed but it will be hard on him, and so I hoped you might be able to help me with something that could lessen the pain and the discomfort."

He looks at Guppy.

"And keep him still. I'd rather not have to tie him down."

{ ooc: bedtime}

"Oh yes, I can certainly do that." Guppy says. "Is he still in a punching mood?"

Elrond smiles a little.
"Have you spoken with Autor?" he asks.

"And no, I do not think so. But he hates having to - put his wellbeing in the hands of others. And - at times, his past casts shadows that are both huge and dark."

Guppy nods.

"I have. Can you bring him downstairs? I already got smacked in the face once this week, we should probably do this in a calm safe place."

He indicates his bruised eyebrow.

"He is resting now, but I could probably carry him," Elrond says, slowly.
Elves are not the willowy creatures stories often make them out to be, but he should be able to manage.

And then he nods at Guppy's face. "What happened?"

"If it's safe to do so." Guppy says. "All the equipment we need is down here."

He shrugs. "I stepped in to rescue a colleague from an angry relative, and got smacked in the face."

He nods.
"I can do that. And he knows me. Chances are he will allow it."

Hopefully.

"And sadly that is often the pay you receive when trying to settle conflicts. The colleague was appreciative at least, I hope?"

"Reasonably." Guppy says. "Though she then tried to offload all her patients on me."

"Do you want help carrying him down?"

Elrond's look says it all, really.

"I should be able to manage. His wound is bound tightly so I doubt it will matter much and this way the risk of him hitting anyone is infinitely smaller."

He smiles.

"Where would you like me to take him?"

"Infirmary, any bed." Guppy nods and smiles.

"I shall fetch him at once," Elrond says and heads back to the stairs.
