[oom: hero work is easy, life is hard]
When Barry arrived in Milliways after ducking out of his lab he wasn't quite sure what to do with himself. He doesn't actually have a lot of experience playing hooky.
Still bugged at Joe, Barry decided to go out back and test a theory.
Maybe trying to run a mile in three seconds just to spite the man who was (possibly legitimately) mad at him is a bit stupid, but it doesn't stop Barry from giving it a go. What does stop him is a dizzy spell that hits not long after he takes off from a starting point out by the lake.
He trips up on his own feet and does an impressive skid and tumble in the dirt, which afterwards finds him back inside, sitting in a chair near the fireplace and picking bits of gravel out of his skinned forearms.
He's noticeably unhappy, and looking rough and dirty. The sleeves of his sweater and the button-down shirt underneath are both ripped, and he has his road-rashed knees to deal with after.
Rethinking the whole 'skipping class' thing? A little.

"Also? Being around other people while you're sick is kiiind of how this thing gets spread around." So no, you are not resting William when you are in a bar talking to people!

"I wonder if Bar would give you anything, or does that sort of thing only come out of the infirmary?" William had seemed kind of reluctant to go there, too.

"Where are you from?" he asks, taking in William's dress.

"I'm from 2014," he explains, then nods towards the bar. "If you want I can go with you and see what Bar can give you to help."

When he gets there, though, the world seems to slide sideways for a moment and he trips up, hip-checking a stool and just managing to catch himself by slapping his hands down on the counter.
He closes his eyes, riding through the dizzy wave for a moment before it clears out.
Glancing over at William he gives him a 'you didn't happen to not see that, did you?' look.
"Clumsy," he says with a wane smile, then focuses on the counter. "Hey, Bar... "

Although it's been happening increasingly more often, which is starting to worry him. He totally has bringing it up to the people at S.T.A.R. Labs on his 'to-do' list, he just hasn't gotten around to it yet.
Right.
"Let's get you taken care of," he says in an effort to turn the subject. "Bar, do you have any cold and flu medication for William? I think he's got the bug that's going around."

"Hey, thanks," he says with a smile, lifting up the drink.
"See, I'm fine," he informs William with a shrug that he tries not to make too smug. Taking a drink through the straw Barry's expression shifts and he gives the glass a dubious look.
"Is this a... protein shake?" Blech.

"It's like a-- health store, thing. They put whey and other proteins in it and try to sell it off as great tasting." But it's not, it's so not. "Guy's who bench press small cars usually drink them."
And that is so not Barry.

"If I wanted protein I'd just go and get a Big Belly burger." They taste waaaaay better.

He looks over William then nods at the bottle of medicine he just took. "That stuff might make you drowsy, so just make sure and take it easy the next couple of days."

"I hope you feel better soon."

William nods and coughs, he is a little tired.
