Elsewhere and/or -when (depending on your Millitime) Lilly is talking about land that allows her to mess with people's minds.

Here and now, the visible representation of such is shaking his head and indulging in a half-glass of wine.

He's in jeans and a long-sleeved T-shirt instead of the usual robes of fire and nightmare, and sprawling in the throne that changes form with every blink of viewing eyes. Mostly, though, it seems to be stuck in a variety of "armchair" configurations, with the occasional segue into the regal (gold and gems), impractical (glass), painful (swords and daggers), or just plain weird (cough drops and jars of honey?).

A silver line of light slices through the air and widens into a portal. Moiraine steps through, gliding towards the Bar.

She pauses by the announcement board to read the notice, and then lays one hand gently on the smooth wooden surface and murmurs,

"I may trust that the arrangements I made with you and Bernard some time ago, via my letter to the House of Dormaile, still apply?"

In answer, a glass of spiced wine from Cairhien shimmers into existence, and the Aes Sedai smiles.

"Thank you."

Picking it up, she goes toward her usual table.

[OOM: After Mal talked to HoM!Kitty in the bar, their conversation moves from the bar to the stables.]

[OOM: Return to Innocence, part one: In which the last edge of the House of M reality effect hits Cable and he gets to re-go through the after effects of the event. Bonus! His sister gets to deal with those after effects too, for both good and sad feelings. Millitimed to this morning. Warnings for Cuteness.]

[OOM: Trying to Find a Way Back Home...: Amidst the chaotic aftermath of Decimation, Hank searches for a way home, even as he lives with the madness, until he finds a way back home at last.]

The Door slams open and a familiar, and recently absent, blue furry beast-doctor figure bursts in...

...into Hope, and lights and Bar-smell, and there he falls to his knees and cries. After days of hurting and fearing and not knowing what to do, he cries and then he races for his room, for their room, up the stairs, and is gone.

(ooc: feel free to post reaction tags, but he is fairly unstoppable on his way to find his wife.)

[OOM: To All Things, An Ending...: Hank wakes up, fights against the House of M and survives the end of it, only to have to deal with the aftermath.]

Simon Tam's in the bar, sitting at a table with a plate of sliced apple and sharp cheese. He's nibbling absently, focused mostly on his datareader.

It appears to be playing a recap of a recent newscast.

Don't worry, he's seen it before and won't mind being interrupted.

Kitty Pryde has been here twice before, but third time's the charm.

Dunno what charm it is, but it's the charm.

She doesn't seem to find it a very good charm, but she has coffee, and so she is consoled.

Coming in the door, Hank McCoy, research scientist, stops, blinks around, then sighs. He glances backwards, then around the room and slowly makes his way to the bar, looking disgruntled and annoyed with life. Or something. He orders a Very Large coffee and settles in to watch the Bar for awhile.

Out of Milliways: Dream and Moiraine talk about Kitty.
02 March 2006 @ 07:13 pm
"--Oh, crap."

Kitty sighs, finishing putting one earring in, and looks around.

"Not again."
And entering stage right, now, is the besuited and be-balded Peter Parker, the spectacular Spider-Man, one of the most famous men in the whole world.

Who then stops, when he walks into a plce that is most definitely not his home and gapes around.

"What the hell--?"

[OOM: Before Milliways, Kitty meets a tall, pale, friend of her father's. Both of 'em, really. Rated B, for Breaking the muns while the pups don't realize.]
01 March 2006 @ 11:15 pm
[OOM: And there they are.]

If you've ever taught sixth-grade, you might understand why the woman who walks in is giggling at the paper she's reading.

Because no, really, you can't give someone an A for a paper that claims Elijah and Moses were mutants, even if it's very creative.

She gets one of these almost every year.

And then Kitty looks up and blinks. "...Um."

This is not her kitchen.
01 March 2006 @ 09:24 pm
She glides down the stairs into the room, carrying a familiar leather-bound journal, one that is beginning to show clear signs of wear. Soon after, Moiraine is settled in her preferred seat, with a clear view of the room.

The journal lies open before her on the table, and a cup of tea steams near at hand. She is evidently studying something in particular, flipping back and forth between whatever she is reading and a once-empty page where she is making notes.
[OOM: Where-ever you go there you are...]

A tall dark haired man in lab clothes and glasses comes in the door, stops, and peers around curiously.

"What in the heavens?"

Hank McCoy was headed towards the commissary at Stark Laboratories when he walked through the door into the hall. Or it was supposed to be the hallway. He peers around him at the bar, looking very confused.

(ooc: Note - This Hank McCoy looks nothing like his more furred self. He does not remember Milliways and comes from a very different timeline than the normal one does. That said? Have at! Also many thanks to mirkat for the use of her OOM!!)

Hank McCoy comes downstairs, looking a little ruffled and glances around. He has to get home for some sleep before the trip tomorrow. Nothing liike heading into Manhattan to see the Avengers to bring old memories to the fore. he just wishes he knew what was going on. Something wasnt right. But then, with the X-Men, that wasn't anything new. Oh well, he would be back tomorrow and everything would be normal.

Not knowing how wrong he is, he turns and moves to the Door. He glances back once, then opens it and steps through.
