There is a Lawrence.
He is half-slouched on the couch with a flat surface in front of him, idly scribbling on a grid-type paper with coloured inks. He is in fact making a map.
Yes, from Memory. It will be surprisingly accurate.

Smirk? What smirk?

There is something to his expression that says he should like to wipe the smirk off his face in the nicest way possible.

"Perhaps I am, Nicholas."

He goes about packing up his maps rather calmly, taking his time.

"Very prompt, aren't we?"
no subject
An arched brow.
no subject
"No, but..."
And he laughs again, just... pleased.
"As you say, Lawrence, as you say."

When he is finished packing he stands, a light in his eyes that Nicholas might remember well is seen.

"Would you like to grab something to eat for later before we head up?"
no subject
"Perhaps I shall." A moment later he returns with a small basket that carries some dates and wine as well as a thermos of what Lawrence can only assume is blood.
Not that Nick is going to need it, if Lawrence has his way.

"A lovely little basket. A shame I'm not up for a picnic at that."
A small smile before he gestures to the stairs.

"I assure you that the bar gave it to me. I did not ask for such things."
He chuckles and shakes his head, following the gesture and assumingly Nick.
no subject
"Yes, well, should you be hungry for anything afterward, feel free to ask a certain rat with a light patch of fur over one ear for anything you should like. Ivanhoe does quite a job taking care of me."
no subject
"But of course I will ask." He starts up the stairs.
no subject
"No, of course not. He's just taken a shine to me and I to him."
no subject
A smile.

And then they head up.
