River is perched on a barstool, happily sipping... something. It's very pink. And fizzy, and equipped with a curly straw and a small plastic monkey.
Even the monkey is pink.
(River's wearing brown -- her long coat -- and shades of yellow. The contrast of colors is something Kaylee and Wash would both approve of.)

With some difficulty, Harold manages to scramble onto the barstool next to River. He points at her drink.
"Pi'k!"
Then his eyes grow wide.
"MONKEY!"
He takes out his crayon and draws a monkey, which starts to hop around near River.
"Two monkeys!"

When the monkey begins to hop around, her eyes widen. She doesn't seem as startled as most people might be, though; instead, she watches with fascination.

The monkey climbs a bit up River's hair and swiiiiiiiiiings and plays.
Harold laughs and squees.

KING OF THE MOUNTAIN!!!
He jumps lots. Soo TALL!
Harold laughs, funny monkey!
And because in the picture book Harold reads, the monkey is friends with the elephant, Harold draws an elephant. Said elephant is about the size of an adult's hand.
The elephant stomps towards River's Pink!Drink and trumpets.

"You can be Joanie's long-lost cousin," River whispers to the tiny elephant, and beams at it too, keeping her head very still for the monkey's sake.

Harold draws a normal sized butterfly. Butterflys are good. And pretty! And everyone likes butterflies.
The butterfly lights on River's nose.

"But-fly! Pwetty!"
The elephant trumpets again. He aparently does not like being ignored. The monkey swings on the elephant's trunk.

And blinks again.
Because--well, that's very pink, after all. Lucy has seen many drinks, but never one quite so, well, bright.

It's also fizzy, and opaque, and if Lucy's near enough she may be able to smell raspberries and strawberries.

Lucy is not given to smelling others' drinks, it must be said, but she comes over and offers a hand after a moment, and likely she can catch the scent from that, if only a little. "Lucy Pevensie. I'm sorry, I've just never seen a drink quite so pink." Red, certainly, but not pink.

"Oh--no, no thank you," dropping her hand after a moment. "It's yours, after all."

The motion is, perhaps, a little too deliberate.
"It is meant not to move?"
no subject
"You'll have to ask him."

"The poking is not enough?"
He is hopeful, it seems.
no subject
That'd be a no.
no subject
"Very well."
And he leans over to whisper something to the plastic monkey.

He might also say something that sounds like --climbing, if you would?.
The really funny part is when the monkey moves.
Because it moves really damn fast.

Happily.
