Ben's outside in the cold. If only because it keeps him away from being assaulted by the scents within the Bar. He doesn't like that. Not one bit. So he's out in the cold and staring up at the sky. One minute he's there and the next minute he blurs and is up in a tree watching the surroundings below him. He's also looking out for any strange scents that might be about as well. He's just being cautious that way.

Ravin paces a bit, watching him with her red eyes, snakelike pupils...

And in turn he watches her. Those eyes make him think of Mole and some of the other transgenics. But he sits in silence and just watches her.

"I'm Ravin. Lichvell."

"X5-493." He states before making a slight face at himself. "Ben." He corrects especially since he didn't like being called by a number.

"Ben." Guessing what the number is for. "I grew up among monsters and demons."

The number is also on the barcode on the back of his neck but that's covered up. "Were they evil?"

"Yes, without exception."

"Ordinaries didn't like Transgenics or Familiars." Ben states with a shrug. "Tried to kill us after the Pulse hit. That is if we exposed ourselves anyways."

"Normal humans would gladly kill me, if they could."

"But they can't." He states staring at her. It wasn't really a question.

"I do not give them a chance to."

"Good." He states with a firm nod. Because no one should be given the chance to hurt or kill someone else.

Ravin nods, almost gracefully flopping down on the ground. Her expression relaxes a bit, but not completely.

"Can't get hurt here." That's why he's not going back home. When he came here he'd been running. He relaxes a bit and isn't as tense as when she'd tried to approach him early. "I like it." Except for being assaulted by all the scents.

"Here, is weird... I am not used to not having to be on my guard all the time."

"Not used to it either. Don't have to worry about them getting me while I'm here."

"Makes me wonder if I will get soft and die easily."

"Why would you think that?"

"Because it happens, if something makes you get lax."

"Oh." He frowns a bit at that. "Didn't know."

"Yeah, it happens. This place is tame and easy, compared to almost anywhere back in my world."

"You'll get by."

"How? Sooner or later, the door will come back, and I will have to go back."

"Don't have to go back if you don't want to. No one to make you."

"I have to. Among other reasons, I am down to my last coppers. Next week, I will have to go back to raw devil-rabbit diet, or start going into debt."
