That just means she gets to make the first move! And while she's tempted to have that first move be stealing his apple, she changes her mind at the last moment.

There are arms around his shoulders, light and a touch hesitant-- just like the kiss to his cheek is.

"Mornin', ai ren."

He startles just a bit and then grins, bringing a hand up to squeeze one of her arms. "Mornin." He returns the kiss and tilts his head to look up at her, "How'er you doin?"

"Fine," she says, coming around him to sit adjacent, smiling the sort of smile that just can't seem to get off a person's face once it's there. "How're you? Good night?"

You mean like the smile he's got on?

"Yup, real good night. Was a nice party wasn't it?"

"Sure was," she replies, flagging down a waitrat. His apple looks too good - she has to order a fresh fruit cup.

While the rat scurried off, she leans in, chinn cupped in her palm and grinning. "Gotta say, though, I kinda regret not goin' for a dip when I had a chance. It's freezin' out there again."

"Is it? Well that was a real quick break then?" He says, glancing towards the back door. "Shoot, I was kinda hopin to get a little more time in the sun myself." And watching her swim would have been nice too.

She definitely could have been convinced to grab a bikini, this time around.

"Wonder how long it is till a real summer," she says idly, head tilted toward the door thoughtfully. "They got some nice weather here. It'd be nice to be stuck in a place that's got it!"

"Well it seems pretty close to the same timeline runnin back home for me." He says, tilting his head as he does some figuring. "Right now it's February...so another month before it starts warmin, two 'fore it to starts gettin hot."

For the first time he glances back to the front door, the one that's there for him again, and then he's looking out back again. "There's some fun to be had in winter too though. I met a god a little while back an he's been givin winter sports lessons on things."

"Winter sports?"

Maybe she really doesn't know! Or maybe-- she saw that glance to what's just a wall for her and is looking at him curiously.

And Bill is master of dodging curious questions regarding semi uncomfortable subjects, or not. But he's gonna try.

"Yeah. Like skiing an...snowboarding an...I don't really know how to do too many myself. Though innertubing is kinda fun, you might like that."

"This is the first snowy place I been in ages," she replies, grinning a little, giving a quiet, "xiexie" to the waitrat when her fruit appears. "I have to admit, I do try and avoid it - not my favorite."

Popping a grape in her mouth, she tilts her head, eyeing the snow outside the bar thoughtfully. "...S'pretty, though. I'll give it that."

"It can be fun. Lot of people like ice skatin." He doesn't because he's no good at it, but he's heard there are others who do. "It is pretty though. It's sometimes nice to just kinda take it in you know? The sight, and it just seems quiet too, peaceful almost."

Nodding almost absently, her eyes linger on the window, fingertips near her lips though the grape is long gone. But she's looking to him a moment later, blue eyes and smiles as she nods.

"I'm more like t'fall on my ass tryin' any of those, honestly."

He smirks and then chuckles, admitting, "Yeah, I'd probably do bout the same."

He sets the core of his apple down on the table and gives an exagerated sigh, "So I guess we'll just have to stay indoors til the weather decides to break again..."

"Oh, no. I suppose we could venture outside but it's far too cold to go walkin' out there alone..."

Starting to smirk a little, she lifts an apple slice and takes a small bite. "Terrible luck, for us."

Though there's plenty of indoor things to do, too, really.

"Oh, well if it's walkin you want to do I can help you there. Walking happens to be one of the things I'm real great at. That and sittin, which you can clearly see right now." He grins proudly at her.

"But, if we do end up stayin in it ain't all that bad. Plenty around to entertain us will after all."

"Championship walker, are you?" she asks, giggling. "I think you could go global, at least, with your sittin' skills. But maybe you can get me through the lessons of walkin' soon."

As for staying in and entertaining, she's-- blushing for totally innocent reasons. Honest.

"I'd be happy to help you. Then you could say you got your trainin from one of the best."

He smiling and he's missed one of the meanings of what he said but see's that she has a little too much color in her cheeks and so gives her a 'what'er you smilin about?' look. "What?" He prompts, nudging her a little.

Yeah, she can see that, looking up at him with lips parted, mouth open to reply and-- yeah, he doesn't get it.

So she grins and nudges back.

"Just... thinkin' about what to tell everybody. Not everybody can brag that the great Sheriff Pardy taught 'em the logistics of walkin'!"

He laughs and puts his hands behind his head looking smug, "Yup. You'll be the envy of everyone around." If only he had gotten it...poor Bill.

Poor Bill indeed. Maybe he'll have another chance sometime!

Laughing with him, she's munching on fruit again, idle fingers curling in her hair. "Well, so long as I can brag about it! All I gotta do now is figure out what I can teach you!"

Bill grins and reaches over to steal some of her fruit since his is all gone now. "Maybe you can show me how to do some of those party things you do. Like fold napkins all pretty like, I'm sure that'd impress my mom some."

Snorting once, she rolls her eyes at him, still grinning. "Oh, well, so long as you can impress your mama.... though, honestly, Bill, I don't think I know anything worth teachin'. Unless you got a drivin' need t'learn flower arrangements? Music? Cake decorating?"

"I like cake." He says, popping a grape in his mouth. "Though it might be best just to let me eat it rather then try to show me anything artistic like. I've been told I'm not that great a student when it comes to learning arts and crafts."

"I'd worry if you didn't like cake." She smirks and steals the last grape in the bowl before he can get it. "Nothin' I do for work is of much use outside of it, unless you're into surprisin' your family or friends with it."
