At some point this morning, a little six-year-old sneaks out of the infirmary, where she decided to sleep last night.

She's in the same outfit as yesterday, and her hair could use a good brushing and being pulled back again, but she's cheerfully sitting on a barstool eating chocolate chip pancakes and drinking chocolate milk.

She's only here for one more day, folks, chat with her while you can!

[ooc: Once again, we have Princess Sarah Marilla Lucy Pevensie Blythe, better known to Bar patrons as April Cornwell. She's gonna be leaving sometime tonight, before grown-up April comes back from her trip, so tag before she leaves! Slowtimes are love if you can't thread now and just want a placeholder. ^_^]

And at a table, there's a man with a camera. He's filming people. And really, he looks extremely innocent. Whoops?

[identity profile] bohemian-mark.livejournal.com 2007-02-22 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
The blonde man behind the camera grins. And starts to narrate.

Well, dear viewers, we seem to have come across a true camera lover here. Tell the folks at home what you're doing, Roger your name, my dear.

Oh, Mark knows that grin. And he almost dropps his camera. Fucking Milliways. He grins right back, however, and shuts off the camera. "Want to know a secret, Rilla? It's in my bathroom." He pauses. "You like Narnia, then?"

"Sometimes. My roommate thinks I'm nuts." Especially when the bathroom door opens and Roger can smell beer instead of shampoo. "I went to another world once, and got to film the wedding of the king and queen." He beams. "They were all blue. And they could talk to you inside your head." He pauses. "Oh, I'm Mark."

Megan is sitting on Liam's knee, a little further down the Bar, but starts trying to wriggle down as soon as she spots the older girl. And her chocolate pancakes.

Since it's not far, and he can keep an eye on her the whole time, Liam sets her down and lets her go over.

"Hi!" Megan chirps back. "I Megan."

Liam taught her to introduce herself, but she's not quite up to grammar yet.

"Rilla", Megan repeats dutifully and carefully. "I... three."

She looks proud of herself.

It's fairly common knowledge that street urchins don't associate with princesses, unless its one of those romantic fairytales that ends in "happily ever after". But Nisha's never heard any fairytales.

"Those look really good," she comments, eyeing the pancakes. "What are they?"

[identity profile] sweepergirl.livejournal.com 2007-02-22 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Nisha nods. "I know; Bar's really cool that way, isn't she?"

"My name's Nisha. What's yours?" Because its totally impolite to hold a conversation and not introduce yourself, no matter what your social standing is.

[identity profile] sweepergirl.livejournal.com 2007-02-23 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
"That's a pretty name," Nisha observes. She remembers when she used to pretend that she was a princess, and dream that her royal parents would find her in the market and take her home to their palace.

"So, are those chocolate chip cake-thingys any good?" Poor Nisha; she's been so deprived.

"Good evening, Princess!"

And there's Monk, still in uniform, smiling brightly at the little girl.

"I," he beams, "am a detective. And now I work here!"

GLEE!
