He hasn't been back on shore in the days since encountering a new arrival. If anyone asked, Jack wouldn't say he was sulking, either. Brooding, maybe.
The food stores ran low yesterday. (At least there's still plenty of rum.) As a result, Gibbs had gone ashore... and still hasn't returned. Jack's deeply certain that's not good -- not good at all.
As a result of all these ensuing complications, the Black Pearl's captain is currently pacing the deck, muttering to himself. From time to time, Jack Sparrow casts a wary, thoughtful glance toward land.
