Entry Post: Christian

Christian from 'Moulin Rouge', Finding himself far from home...

He needed a change of scenery.

His manuscript completed, he needed to get out of his garret, if only for a little while, and write something else. He wanted to start proof reading his story, as well, and he was out of alcohol, so there were several reasons why he pulled on his jacket and tucked his bulky manuscript into the inside pocket. Why he put on his hat and placed his heavy Underwood typewriter under one arm. Why he took the meager cash he has remaining from the box he hides it in and shoved it into his pants pockets.

Christian opened the door awkwardly, and shuffled into the hall, locking the door behind him. Then he took the stairs - the clunky elevator was broken again, anyway - to the street five floors below. He waved to the people he knew, had a brief duet about sunny days with one of the vegetable vendors - still uncertain where the orchestra was coming from for their song - and headed for the pastry shop. Madame Du Bois would provide a meal in exchange for a poem, and she had said that she was making her special tomato soup for lunch today.

He approached her shop, opened the door, and staggered in a bit. Clearing the typewriter through the entry occupied his attention, and when the door closed behind him and he turned to smile at Madame -

Well, that's when he realized he was in the wrong place.

He was in some sort of... bar?

[OOC: Should anyone be interested: A summary of his story prior to arriving in the bar, referencing Moulin Rouge, is in his Bio. A few posts of what he's been doing since the end of the film are in his journal. Thank you.]

[OOC: Further note, I might be slow, as I'm on EST and working and have an annoying headache...]
