Tumnus woke up beside the fireplace in his own body a day ago and hurried home. When a door to Milliways presented itself in the library, he peered through it cautiously and extended a hoof, when it stayed a hoof, he walked through.

At the counter, he ordered a tea and large lunch including scones slathered in honey, he had yet to shake the slightly craving for it. Then he tapped his hooves on the wood floor, he truly had missed them.

(OOC: Put up rather late but open until it scrolls.)

There is a pole by the door. It wasn't there a few minutes ago.

ScreeeeTHUNK.

And now there is a Ray by the door, who wasn't there a few minutes ago either. "Oh, sweet, it worked," he says to no one in particular as he heads for the back door. "Thanks!"

The pole vanishes almost as soon as he steps away from it. He doesn't notice. He's got lightsaber practice to catch up on out back.

Parker looks like a four year old tried to create a flower arrangement in her hair today.

Which, to be fair, is essentially what happened. Susan had been keen on making her a “pwetty spwing weef” and Parker had happily gone along for the ride. It actually pairs quite well with the long medieval dress that she’s currently wearing.

The look is a bit more incongruous when you factor in the laptop and small digital camera that are set up on her table.

Parker has spent the better part of a very pleasant day in the Royal Gardens of Ambergeldar with Amy and the kids, under the watchful eye of Norman the Dragon. She had gotten dozens of good shots off, and is eager to sort through and print off the best ones to make into a small album for Amy. (The Queen’s birthday is coming up soon, after all.)

Shedding flower petals, in a good mood, and thoroughly botherable.

[OOC: Work may call for slowtime.]

Thalia has not only discovered there is an outdoors in this weird place she finds herself but there are horses! And really, what girl doesn't love horses.

So she's in the stables petting the ones that will let her and enjoying a sense of peace (believe it or not) she hasn't found very often in her brief life.

[ after this*** ]

Fiona comes down the stairs with murder in her eyes.  She slips into her usual bar stool.

"Bar, can I get a tequila?  No, scratch that.  Red Breast, please.  Two fingers neat."

She's just gonna sit her and glare holes in the bar for a little while.

Joan's been using the bar as a door between worlds these days. Work in hers, home in Harry's.

Except for now, of course, when she decides to actually turn it into more of a retreat from both. There really aren't too many places where a girl can have a drink and put her feet up, so to speak, and it's been a while since she's been able to do much of either.

Right now, a martini garnished with olives and a pack of cigarettes rests on the bar right next to her elbow, but she's somewhat preoccupied with the task of freshening up. That, for Joan, comes in the form of pulling out a tube of lipstick and a small compact mirror - the first of which is designed to give her lips the appearance of a demure pout, the second meant to check her application.

She studies her reflection in the tiny mirror and purses her lips.

Vain? Never. She'd call it thorough.

His closing is quickly scrawled onto the parchment, the sentence closed off with the customary period, and Scorpius Malfoy slumps back against the tree he sits under with a "thank Merlin that's done with".

Now he can actually enjoy being at Milliways without thinking about how he really ought to finish that Arthimancy assignment that happens to be due in the morning.

He stuffs the parchment into a book, shutting it with a snap!, and shoves both into the book-bag at his side. Both of which are greeted by a crackle of parchment that he, cringing, hopes is not the assignment he'd just finished and thankfully only turns out to be an unfinished letter addressed to a member on the Committee of Experimental Charms.

Scorpius shakes his head, wondering where exactly his head has been, before he crumbles the said letter and transfigures it into a Quaffle that he spins on a finger, looking entirely unconcerned about anything.

Ramon comes out of the elevator looking like he's stoned or something. Which is, as it goes, exactly what he is. It occured to him at some point this morning that after his accident the other day, his horse is still on the loose and he should probably do something about that. It took a while to psych himself up to it though and now he's meandering over to the bar in a not-quite-straight line, limping even though he's not feeling much of anything just now.

ExpandAnyone working in the stables )

If Kate or Doc read it, he knows they'll keep an eye out for the sake of the animal, not because he's telling them to. He doesn't know anyone else who works there but figures there's a list of horses and their owners around somewhere.

That done, he gets a glass of water and drifts over to an armchair, where he proceeds to sit and...just sit. Not quite doze, not quite awake. Hardly his usual behaviour but it's not like he really cares about appearances today.

There's a lot of shit Dean isn't thinking about, or trying to not think about not thinking about.

A lot of that's easier said than done.

Which is why on this particular evening Dean leaves Sam back at the motel, futzing around with his computer, and escapes to Milliways for a drink.

Several drinks.

He looks pretty determined to have a good time as he comes in through the front door, anyway.

You've gotta start somewhere, right?

And it ain't like he's got a whole lotta time left.

[ooc: And I need to beg slowtime for the night! I will tag up again tomorrow. Thank you all! <333]

It's still slightly cool out by the lake, but Rae couldn't resist the brilliantly sunny day. In a sky-blue tee and jean shorts, she's stretched out on one of the large, sun-warmed boulders beside the lake. Her head rests on her crossed arms, turned to the side, her eyes shadowed slightly by the fall of her hair. A book, Altar of Darkness, lies closed beside her.

She knows she must leave soon; she can feel the door drawing her gaze whenever she walks through the bar room. Rae can almost feel the danger still waiting on the other side,(flat, no-color eyes, gaze like flung acid, searching) paused, caught out of time while she is here. She is safe here, but it's the safety of one under siege in an impenetrable fortress. Safe but trapped, until she decides to emerge and face that which threatens her.

As she must, eventually. It is bent upon the destruction of her and Con; whether its agents find them or they go to it, Sunshine will have to come face-to-face with Bo. It's inevitable.

She doesn't want to think about it.

Right now, Rae is trying to lose herself in the warm embrace of the spring sunlight. She can feel its warmth against her skin (the branches and leaves of her tree reaching for all the sunlight it can grasp, the leaf-shadows dappling the brown back of the doe standing below its green canopy), feel it soaking in, feeding her strength, her will, doing what good it can.

She knows she'll need all the help she can get.

(ooc: To bed! Will return tomorrow!)
