It's been wet and cold and miserable outside. That's fine. Gordon's actually used to that. Reminds him of home. It's not really the best weather for practicing at the range, but honestly, how many perfectly clear days of combat will he ever be able to count on? Given that he's almost guaranteed to be spending the rest of his life, however long that might be, at war-
-okay, he's not going to think about that even if it's the truth, it's reminding him too much of what Hel said and he doesn't want to think about that-
Anyway, he's been practicing for most of the day, which is why he smells like cordite and ozone when he comes inside. The pulse rifle works just fine in the wet, but the other guns are a little trickier, so he's been working with them more to make sure he doesn't lose the knack. He'll take the weaponry up to his room as soon as he's warmed up a little; right now he's going to sit by the fire with something to eat and see whether he or his guns dries out faster.
