This is somewhat more difficult when the present moment includes an oversized, structurally reinforced edition of the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Mostly, right now, the gigantic green fellow is busy being mindful of the book. Turning pages quite that fragile is an interesting endeavor when you have fingers as big as his.
Doesn't mean he's not trying, though.

Mar. 28th, 2011 09:47 pmguppy_sandhuShift at home, check. Pick Coral up from nursery, check. Pick Alex up from his second school practice day, check. Now there is time for dinner, and as Guppy has Alex continuously telling him about his day, he brought the kid along.
"And they had recorders and they were hobibble." Alex is saying as they go through the door into the bar.
"Yes, the teacher said you weren't very keen on them. I'm afraid most kids play recorders at school Fry." Guppy says, heading towards the bar.
"Worse than the washy machine!" Alex says, following him.
Guppy is about to reply when a small cake pops up on the bar. He blinks at it for a moment, then realisation dawns and he smiles. If he'd had time to go to the bar eight days ago, it would have been to mark six years since he stepped foot in here.
He catches sight of the toddler watching him and grins. Alex climbs up on a barstool and looks at the cake with an expression of Want Caek Now Plz. So Guppy gets a knife from the bar and starts cutting the cake up.
Anyone else want some?
