Harvey Dent is in a bad mood.

It has less to do with the puppet and more to do with the mun being that the mun has intense hatred occasionally for her chosen profession and looks for the occasional scapegoat. So Harvey is...writing a check for room and board and hoping that his monthly "Government Employee" (because of course the public service workers of Gotham City get paid monthly!) is deposited shortly.

True to form however, bar replies with a Note deposited directly atop his check.

Harvey stares at it for a few minutes before-

"...I don't suppose you can duplicate yourself? Be useful for the DA's office."

His response, desposited directly on Mel's note. No. Sorry..

"worth a try."

In a better mood now, he orders a coke and scans the bar, buying himself a moment before going to look for this security person.

You could interrupt him, or help him out.

Demeter is quiet as she enters from the Front Door, sitting beside him and ordering a wine,

"Are you looking for someone?"

Harvey stares at the note, "...Someone named Mel, apparently on security?"

He offers Demeter the note for comparison.

"I haven't met her, I'm sorry."

"Anyone get back to you yet?"

Asks the sandy-haired man in the one-piece suit just to Harvey's left.
The narration says one-piece suit because Mike's only wearing the suit, shirt and tie portions. Where there should be matching dress pants there's bright orange flowered Bermuda shorts.

Harvey shrugs, "...You guys need a paging system. Some big disembodied vioce to tell people what's going on."

He shrugs, "...I don't do well without things to do."

Casual Friday Eat your heart out!

Harvey is about to respond normally when he spots the shorts and grins, "...No uh-"

He has to remind himself that this is a serious matter, "...Well, I got this. I was looking for the girl-Mel?"

The shorts are eyed again, "...Do you work here?"

"As opposed to the Boy-Mel, right?"

Up go a pair of amused eyebrows. Boy-Mel...now there's an idea he hasn't thought of in a while.

"I do. What gave it away?"

Harvey is still thrown off by the shorts. It's like the guy who wore a bugs-bunny tie to a civil case he was trying when he first became a lawyer.

He shakes it off, "....I think?" Because it is a fair question, "...Mel Fray."

He offers the note to Raph before putting his hands in his pockets, "...I think I'm the first person I've seen here in a suit and tie and I came in from a-" he pauses, "...Well, from a party."

In other words, he's shallow and tends to associate appearances with status. But honestly can you blame him?

Mike accepts the note. There's something about her handwriting that makes him smile that much broader.

"Oh I know her. I'd say I probably know her better than pretty much anyone here. Inside and out."

Don't ask. Seriously don't ask.
Mike looks up from the note and considers Harvey for a second.

"You were looking to score, weren't you?"

Blink. Blink. Blink. Harvey's still grinning-nervously now.

"...Yeah. That's it. There's a potential nut on the loose and I'm looking for a date."

Not.

Almost defensively he pulls out his wallet to show Mike a Photograph (http://movies.yahoo.com/summer-movies/The-Dark-Knight/1809271891/photos/289/9815), still grinning, "...Happily Taken. That's us at my campaign party."

Ignore the unsually crystal clear quality of the photo.

"It's Milliways. Stranger things have happened."

Mike eyes the picture and his eyes go wide.

Harvey frowns, "...I'm beginning to put that together. I rode in here unconcious on a wave of snackfoods."

He stares at the photograph. Rachel and he smiling, "What?...It's not that bad a picture..."

"Huh? What? Oh! Nonono. It's a great picture, it's just that she totally looks like someone I know from back home, is all."

Someone named April.

"I understand, that way you feel useful."

Harvey stares at the picture for a moment before shaking his head and grinning, "...You work here-answer me this-do you ever get used to things like that? I've had three people mention Gotham and people who..."

Who seem to know things...

"...Who know things that apparently haven't happened yet."

Harvey grins, "...I don't do well without things to do. It puts me in a..." he searches for a word, "A funk. I've been the legal equivalent of the energizer bunny for awhile now so having..."

His gaze strays to the door, "Downtime like this doesn't work."

"What do you normally do?"

"I'm a lawyer." Harvey offers a hand, "I don't think we were properly introduced. Harvey Dent, Gotham City."

He smiles

She shakes his hand, hers are a gardener's hands,

"I'm Demeter and currently I'm in Provence."

There's some more silver in her hair than the last time they met.

"Do you want the real answer or the one that's going to make you feel better?"

"The real answer."

Harvey doesn't like things sugarcoated.

"....I'm afraid I don't follow you." The hand is interesting to say the least, "Is that like the close on an estate sale?"

She laughs,

"Oh no, I live in Provence and I guess you could say I'm a gardener."

Harvey smiles, "...Don't meet many people who'll admit that as a profession without some kind of qualification ahead of their name."

Like, "I invented such and such a rose. etc."

"...What do you grow?"

"I help things grow and if you mean qualification, I am a goddess after all."

Mike allows his ever present smile to slip.

"Nope. I mean the multiverse isn't as big as we'd like to think it is, so it only really stands to reason that stories would get around and what not. Most of the time it doesn't bother me, but still...bit weird if you let it get to you."
