[ OOC: Millitimed to the end of May. Warnings for sex and smut and smutty sex and smutty language. But really, it's all just ridiculous trashy fun. ]

"Ah...the Bar. I didn't think I would see you again." And thus an old friend returns, a look on his face of both dread and delight, as the Bar has inspired in him many times in the past.

He walks over to the counter and pulls out several coins from many nations. "Give me the best rum my money can buy.

"But leave me with a little something for later?"

And a bottle that is without a doubt in the third, or maybe even second, tier of rum available in Gibbs's day appears. Leaving the old salt a happy man indeed.

Happy enough that he might actually share. A little.

Since her conversation with Alyx a while ago, Kanaya hasn't been in the best of moods, choosing to stay up in her room rather than come down into the Bar proper to socialize.

She's managed to today, though, claiming a tucked away booth for herself with a plate of food while she tries to muster some inspiration for some clothing designs.

Distractions would probably be more than a little helpful.

[OOM: In which Weyland and Loki catch up on recent events, discuss what to do about Skaưi, and probably reveal more about their sex life than anybody ever wanted to know. It's a sandcastle marriage, and the tide's coming in.]

Oh, it's a beautiful thing. Liquid energy. Strength in a bottle. Fucking rocket fuel. Atlantean brandy, made with his own carefully chosen blend of other substances for flavor, one of which is godblood and the rest are not. He may be the only person who can drink it, but that just means more for him.

Which explains the state he's in as he heads up to the bar tonight (also scars, bed-hair, stubble; boots, jeans, t-shirt emblazoned with the word Chupacabra). Well, he's got all the drink he needs, but there's no food upstairs.

"One order of deep-fried shenanigans, my fine lady," he says with a smile. A napkin appears; he reads it.

"Oh, no, that is exactly what I mean. Deep-fried shenanigans. I had them at a county fair once--I think it was in Wisconsin. It had to be; they had these butter statues of Valkyries with huge--" Napkin. "No, what would I do with one of those?" Napkin. "That is filthy. That is filthy and you should be ashamed of yourself. Why, here I am with a simple order, and you--" Napkin. "On a stick, please. I don't want to burn my fingers."

And a paper dish appears in front of him, with deep-fried something on sticks. He'll probably regret this later... but he'd probably share, if asked.

[open until his next EP!]

There's a tiny, dangerous, dazzlingly beautiful blonde in the bar.

To be specific: seated at the bar, wearing something bright red and form-fitting. She's drinking something translucent and sparkling, almost exactly same color as her hair, with a cherry in it almost exactly the same color as her jumpsuit.

She might be botherable, or she might be looking for someone to bother.

[Last time on Operation Desert Storm TV, soldiers prepared to fight a legal, authorised war.]

Out of Milliways, on Operation Desert Storm TV: Soldiers return from patrolling the Iraq border.

Then one of them is reassigned to an unknown operation, which leaves him out in the field one day in three.

Our plucky soldier goes out on an unknown mission, suspected to be deep in enemy territory, and does not return.

This brings us to the end of our regularly scheduled broadcast period, here on the front lines of Operation Desert Storm. Thank you.
