"I hope so," she admits readily, somewhat grateful for the change in subject.

"I've been home twice now, but both times it happened the same way. Nobody even knew I'd been gone. I don't know why it wouldn't happen that way again the next time I get to go home." She tilts her head slightly. "I know other people who've said it works that way for them, too."
