It's been very busy at the Greenbrier, and very noisy, and Gordon had hoped that by escaping to Milliways he'd get away from the cause thereof.

Unfortunately Bar chooses to issue him a cupcake the size of both his fists clenched together, topped with a number of birthday candles, so apparently he's not getting away any time soon.

Oh well. At least it's a good cupcake.

Fortunately for Almanzo, his sister bailed him out over the whole wallpaper thing. Thank goodness for spare paper in the attic.

Today hasn't been a good day, however. After pulling potatoes all morning in the freezing cold, they'd just been putting a few in the leaf pile to heat up to eat...

There's a pop just outside the door, Almanzo yells out, and stumbles in clutching his face around his right eye.
