Sergeant-Major Shephard is planning a trip up to Svalbard. While he's doing that, Alyx has plans for a Project of her own.

To that end, she's settled down at a well-lit table in the middle of Milliways, sketching out plans for what appears to be a very specialized darkroom.

[OOM: Amber starts to worry about Mark's private life. Meanwhile, Invincible is going on a trip.]

Invincible stepped out earlier to head home for a much shortened Summer Vacation before starting college. Now, he steps back in, smiling. He stops in the doorway, then his smile broadens to a grin. "I'm going to MARS!" he announces to the room. Oblivious to any conversations he interrupted, he walks over to the Bar and orders himself a massive cheeseburger, onion rings, and a Coke.

Soon-to-be astronaut, eating lunch, happy to be bothered.

Look around in the bar.

You may see several doors; the front door through which most people come in, and the back one leading out to the woods and lake, and perhaps even the upstairs doors and the one leading down the staff hallway.

Tonight there are half a dozen more, tiny little things decorated with bits of moss or twig, perhaps a tiny ladybug's wings spread like an eave over a miniscule peep-window. There is a fairy king who is currently quite amused by the act of making and leaving all the little faerie doors around the place like quite tidy mouse holes around the baseboards. The one he's working on now is quite gothic in architecture; the carved jamb is made to look like masoned stone, with tiny metal bands strapping the little planks of the door. There's even a tiny silver knocker set aside for it, ready to be hung when the hinges go on next.

Valjean enters the bar looking quietly troubled. He does his best to smooth the feeling away as he removes his hat and gloves, and walks to the bar to order tea. It is not such an easy thing to do. He retires to a seat near the observation window, where he might contemplate something far greater than them all.
