After a couple of awful days sleeping in her room, Jane finally feels like herself again and mortified by what 'Selina' did. She's rather too pale and wishes that Tom would somehow appear, but she knows that would add another pain to what has occurred. At the counter, she picks up a cup of tea and drops off three notes.

Once Bar has taken all of the notes, Jane looks into her cup of tea, she will finish this and then return home to the pain she knows.

As much as he tried to convince himself that he wasn't getting sick, Tommy wasn't immune to that weird flu that's been going around after all.

Because now his name isn't Tommy. It's Wayne.

And after several days of not shaving in his flu-ridden delirium, he decided to give himself a mustache.

"Aw, c'mon, Miss Bar," he says, his usually rapid New York City bark replaced with a slow, Midwestern drawl. "You can't deny a fella just one sip of whiskey, now can you?"

A napkin appears. Yes, she can. Because of reasons.

Wayne sighs. Deeply, and sadly. Almost depressive, defeated. His shoulders hunched over, he slouches on a bar stool and lights a cigarette with tremulous fingers.

And yes, he's wearing a straw cowboy hat.

Spending the night in a bar has never been a great move for one's health, but Thurlow woke up feeling more under the weather than yesterday's activities or choice to sleep on the sofa in front of the fireplace can account for. Their throat feels like they swallowed a wire brush, and they're chilly in defiance of their decently warm suit.

"Can I have some cocoa, please?" Thurlow rasps, the hoarseness doing strange things to their accent. (Surely that's it. Why else would they sound like they were from America?) Bar helpfully provides a pullover hoodie with a red gear on the chest along with their order. By the time Thurlow's shrugged into the unfamiliar garment and brought their mug over to the couch, they've started to feel more... ironic. Modern. Like someone named Dave. Barstuck, one might say.

Where did they get these sunglasses? Never mind. They're more comfortable wearing them. Maybe it's the lighting.

Ivan's in a good mood, he's been at a dinner party that his mother was holding where he was filling out seats. Thankfully the women his mother put next to him were interesting and the Komarran laughed enough that they're going out again tomorrow night.

He's in his undress greens with the top of the tunic unbuttoned and a happy glow on his face when he finds Milliways in the lobby of his building.

Since its Friday that means he heads to the counter and orders a glass of wine before sprawling on a comfortable chair near the fire to watch the crowd go by.
