Millitimed to before the blessing of the foundation stone...

OOM: Ganymede takes Javert to his vineyard. Contains varying levels of understanding, affection, and annoyance.

[OOC: Second thread contains some very brief, non-graphic allusions to the dub-con in a previous plot, along with brief discussion of childhood violence, and being a plaything of the gods. Warning for all threads for conversations of awkwardness, teasing, annoyance, surprising *gasp* friendship, candy, horses, stars, wine and modern underwear. Not in that order.]

Another month has gone by here at the end of the universe, and while she's a little late, Andrea is keeping her promise to be a gate keeper for the back door. The moon is bright tonight, though clouds occasionally hide it, and she has a new Lorna Sterling novel to read. What could be better?

[OOC: Militimed to yesterday's full moon. Thread hop, have fun, just try and keep any fights outside or Andrea will have to get involved. You are welcome to tag Andrea (who is sitting by the back door), but not required to.]

(OOM: Rae never liked the spy-thriller genre, anyway.)

The door slams open, and Sunshine comes stumbling backwards through the door of Milliways, her frightened gaze caught by the small, tangled mess of broken wards and magic swarming swiftly after her. Trying to keep her distance, Rae tries everything to stop it. Magic or not, there is no Yolande with her steady, powerful wards to stop a fetch here.

The fetch and the tangle of breaking wards melt through the barrier she summons as though it weren't even there. She tries fire, but magic wards don't take well to magic-induced fire - if anything her effort damaged them more than the fetch itself. Fetches are built to be immune, after all. No normal civilian could disable one - that was the whole point. They could be contained, sometimes, but never fully stopped until they had completed their objective. The fire fades into nothing, the following ball of lightning crackling ineffectually through it, ice shattering like spun sugar, and the time-slowing spell cast in desperation glides off the fetch like water off a duck's back. There seems to be no way she can stop it - and to touch it would be to....

Sunshine's mind refuses to go there. The fetch swarms after Rae with single-minded purpose, shedding bits and pieces of broken wards upon the floor in its wake. Sunshine bumps into the Bar, and only just has time to climb up onto a bar stool as it reaches her feet. But she can't stop - the fetch is already intently climbing up the side of the Bar. She scrambles back onto the surface of the Bar itself, and has only enough time to shout a frantic request to the Bar before half-falling off the other side, her momentum carrying her into the edge of the counter.

So she can see, in the following half-second, the unhindered fetch coming quickly over the lip of the counter, and the sudden appearance of the clear case surrounding it. Pressed against the back counter, the bottles of alcohol behind her rattling from her impact, Rae watches the fetch skitter ineffectually within the sealed case. Contained. Unable to get out.

Safe. For now.

Breathing for the first time since she saw the thing, Rae feels her shaking knees give way beneath her, and she sits down hard.

Leo was in the lab all night again. This was no surprise. He had fallen asleep but it wasn't too long before he was up and shuffling around again. It was in this stupor that he passed through what he thought was the door out into the main living area. He stopped dead in his tracks. Instead of the apartment, he found himself standing in the middle of a bar. That was when he noticed the view out the window. He was utterly dumbfounded. He found his vocal cords wouldn't produce sound as he was too busy watching the universe destroy itself over and over and over again. Fitz, welcome to Milliway's.

Over by the fire, two men share a table in - if not companionable silence, at least in one that shows no overt aggravation. Javert is reading up on growing apple trees, and glaring when he comes across a word he has to ask Valjean to interpret for him. Valjean, for his part, is trying not to look too amused, and is spending the rest of the time alternating between reading about modern building methods, and making comments on how certain techniques could be useful.

Javert ignores all of these, and simply scowls at his book. Valjean tries harder not to look amused. It is very trying, all 'round. At one point, he goes to the bar to order dinner, leaving Javert to glare at his back. Their table is strewn with exterior designs for the church, and soon there is going to be an argument about electricity, he just knows it.

[OOC: Can be tagged together, or individually when Valjean is at the bar. Just say! Annnnd, slowtime for sleep. Post remains open through the weekend. :) <3]

Naruto enters looking like, well, that. Not himself today, he looks like Sasuke. It is just an illusion, but he has managed to pull it off pretty well. There is only one problem, his guts are rebelling. At the moment, he is making a bee line to the bathroom.

Ten minutes later he comes out of the bathrooms looking rather much like himself, and feeling better.

Bother him either before, or after he makes it to the bathroom.
