Javert and Valjean are having an argument. Or rather, Javert is having an argument and Valjean is listening, and occasionally making a reasonable point. There are diagrams on sheets of paper on the table, and a lot of rope. A lot of rope.

Eventually, Valjean picks up said rope - yes, all of it, despite it being very obviously extremely heavy - and slings it over his back, and Javert mutters something about collecting the horses, while keeping his eyes averted from the man.

Half an hour later, men and animals can be found in the clearing in the woods, rigging up pulleys and attaching the ropes to a large wooden framework. It is clearly about to become the roof structure of the church...if they can get the thing up there before either of them die of old age. Or before Javert gives himself a stroke from trying to figure out the correct rope lengths to go over the nearest tree branches.



[OOC: In honour of having had a completely shitty day, and wanting to get this done before Christmas...have a couple of Frenchmen. One is stressed and belligerent, the other serene and capable. Pick one, or get both. Apologies in advance for any slowness: I have one character each on iPad and phone, and will do my best not to lag. Open until no one wants to tag any more!
