After a very quiet middle-of-the-night arrival, and a very quiet and very long sleep in his odd new room, Feuilly wakes up hungry and curious.

Nothing new in that, of course. He explores the room itself, and with a clean set of clothing (new but nearly identical to the battle-ruined things he'd arrived in--how? And is it just to borrow?) goes to explore the hallway; and then Feuilly tries to find the library mentioned in the pamphlet. Every book ever written? Really? But some trick of geography sends him into the barroom instead.

He takes a spot by the fire and reads the pamphlet over again for the twentieth time. Do not under any circumstances eat free food, it says. While also saying that a fund will provide for children and the bound. And the dead?

So yes, there's a new face in the bar. He's got that 1830s France look to him--but more noticeably that "how-do-I-get-a-meal-around-here" look to him.

((Arrr, I know everyone is out and about for New Year's stuff, but fragnabbit I just got back from a lovely but RPless vacation and I figured I'd squeak this guy in for the last bit of 2014 over here. Post is open until whenever....especially since I'm a sleepy-head who will be hitting slowtimes soon.))
