There is a Noriko on the floor of the bar.

She's totally unharmed, before anyone thinks anything alarming; she's backed up to a section of wall near the fireplace, working on her Big Box O' Cranes, which has probably surpassed six hundred by now. It's not that she's planning on stopping at a thousand, but it makes a nice even number to do things with, even if those things are not the tradition senbazuru strings to be hung at shrines.

(To begin with there are no shrines near where she lives, and to end with she wouldn't go if there were. At least not with a huge streamer of shiny rainbow paper birds to get attention.) Her bottom half is covered under a kotatsu, looking kind of contrived given it's basically a low table with a blanket on top that's keeping her legs warm (courtesy the electric heater underneath it). The rest of her is uncovered and looking more or less normal, as normal as she gets, though she is singing half out loud to a song that might give away more about her than most people think at first.

Watch your feet, lest you trip over her.

When Graham takes a seat at the bar, she promptly produces two things: a mug of coffee, and an opened tin of cookies that's still mostly full. He sets down a closed file folder, and reaches for the coffee first.

From the lowest rung of his barstool, a rat that had scurried with him through the door has perched to warily watch its newfound brethren as they pass by with their orders. For his part, Graham doesn't seem to be paying much attention to his rodent company.

Death sat in front of the fireplace, watching the fish swim. He really liked them, they were serine. With him today, was a plate of traditional breakfast foods, eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice, and coffee. He was thinking of something rather startling to him, he wanted to learn to cook. It wasn't enough to know about all the recipes and the knowledge of how to do them, it was the actual experience of the cooking that he needed now. Just as with food, he had the knowledge of food, the taste, and textures, but the nuances and the experience of actually eating was totally different.

Death was also trying a new idea out with his Avatar. Today, if someone sees him, he will look as a child to children, and an adult to adults. Feel free to speak with him.

When Bonnie approaches the bar, she leaves a quick note for the Barmen.

Dear Mike or Sallie,
I would like to teach some of the younger patrons of Milliways (as part of the MilliScouts) how to rear chickens. I'm planning to put them in a spare stall of the stables for a couple weeks, but once they're big enough would it be okay to build a small outside run please?
At the end of the exercise if the kids don't want to keep their chickens, I'll take them back home.
Thanks
Bonnie Murdock

With that left, she goes to look in the stables for a suitable place to put the chicks once they hatch at home.
