[OOM: A little while back, Ava and Lesgle embarked on an adventure in the library.

The result was ... something out of a storybook.]

There is a small figure in a dark blue hoodie and bright purple jeans on the couch in front of the fireplace, today. This particular ten-year-old is in a rather quiet mood, currently hard at work on her project for her Needlework Badge, so she'll have another badge to join the one (somewhat crookedly) sewn onto her hoodie. She is working on embroidering a small sunflower in yellow and brown on a piece of green felt, which will eventually be a small coin purse she can keep in her bag at school.

At some point, she has to take a break, and heads to be the bar for a cream soda, which sounds particularly good right now. Her drink appears accompanied by a large cookbook with numerous note-cards marking pages within. Rae is surprised at this addition, but accepts it anyway, curious. There is no note or anything obvious to indicate who the cookbook is from, but when she notices that most of the recipes with note-cards marking them involve the use of pineapple, she can guess who must have sent it. With a very slight smile, Rae settles at the bar with the cookbook, looking through it for ideas and drinking her cream soda.

(ooc: Open forever. Catch Rae either at the couch or at the bar.)
halfemptyglasses: Mirai with wide eyes and a dropped jaw (this face is happening now)

[OOM: Mirai's night is interrupted by something that goes bump.]

The door opens on a cool April night, but only briefly. In that moment, Kuriyama Mirai darts through and slams it shut behind her. She leans against it, sagging down to the floor in some relief even as the door shakes slightly from a collide on the other side. She winds a hand through her hair, trying to figure out what to do now.

Whatever was pursuing her eventually retreats unseen. Unless you're one of those who can see the things that go bump in the night, that is. Then you might notice a bandage-like appendage pinned between the door and the jamb as it slithers back to its side.
