Noriko is working on a project today in the bar, taking up most of a table with a couple of pairs of goggles and a small roll of carefully packed film substance that looks like milky white photography film. The former she's taking apart carefully, and taking a small sander to the inside of one glass surface, the outside of the other. The aim is to thin them down enough to fit the film between them and stuff them back into the casing attached to the strap.

It's an unconventional way to go about solving the problem of both producing lightning and being susceptible to photokeratitis, but hey, Noriko's kind of unconventional herself. Feel free to bother her while she's trying to laminate the film between the glass curves, or trying to make the switch respond to her jolting it with current to make the film change to a dark tint.

Alana ventures out today to leave a note with the bar for a Barman, hoping she's addressing the right people. She sports a green wrap dress veined like a jasper stone and her classic black pumps. A simple gold pendant adorns her neck, and a gold watch rests on her wrist. She looks more put together than she feels, but dressing up is its own kind of armor.

You might think that the resolve to make the most of your time shouldn't take that much time to make, but this is not always the case. Alana Bloom knows that one day, she will have to walk out the door, back into what waits for her, even if it is her death. But, until that time comes, she wants to do what she has always dedicated her life to doing--helping people. Today, she takes the first step.

She considers putting up a sign stating The Doctor Is In, but wonders if that would be too crude--and whether it would attract the wrong kind of attention. In the meantime, she picks up a hot chocolate from the bar and settles in a corner where she can people watch and consider how to spread the word that therapy is now an option available to bar patrons.

Moira was right. When you're a ghost, one day really does run into another. Violet doesn't know just how long since she was last here, but she's here now. She's wearing a red jacket over her striped leggings and long skirt. She took from the room of one of the latest occupants of the murder house. It's too big, but it's something new, and she doesn't have a lot of new things coming her way these days.

She sits by the fire, her feet propped up on an ottoman, leafing through a magazine someone left behind. It's all about an upcoming anniversary special of something called "Tentacles of our Waves".

Which stars... squid? Weird. Looks like a great special, though. Lots of drama.

Elrond is looking quite drawn and pale as he comes down the stairs, scanning the room in search of someone with a firm grasp of modern calming agents. {ooc: plot locked to Guppy}

[Upstairs: Shower.]

Somebody left clean clothes on his hammock, next to the pile of his old dirty clothes. He'd guess it was Curtis, but hell, maybe they just appeared there, like things seem to do here all the time. Wearing them feels ... weird. Good, but weird.

He's still shifting his shoulders under the too-stiff denim jacket as he steps into the main bar, looking for Curtis.

[oom: Fry tries to be kind to Tommy, but it all ends in a spot of revenging.]

Fry enjoyed being in the ball pit the other day. So after a busy day of school, he's continuing on with his XKCD badge, by inventing his own unit of measurement, which is harder than he thought it would be.

So far he is using a model of Thomas the Tank Engine as his standard unit and is putting the engines in order of size to work out which one he'll use as the next unit.
