Ibani makes an entrance.

Upon learning what her new allies Rylee and Destris are offering as plans to knock Paladius off his pedestal, she embarks on the first part of her plan.

But things are never simple, are they?

Don't mind the sudden delighted yelp from one end of the bar: it's the continued football invasion of Milliways, and Poland just scored.

Feuilly had found himself honor-bound to support England, and he'd valiantly suppressed any hint of delight at the Icelandic upset. But by God, he'll cheer his heart out for Poland. Even if they haven't been the most...stirring team of the tournament so far.

Poland is not yet lost.

This is the first Fourth of July they've had since YT's mom quit her horrible job with the Feds, and this seems to be very much on her mind, to the point where it's making her act kind of weird. This is frustrating and makes no sense whatsoever. YT thought her mom was glad to leave that job, especially after that whole clusterfuck last year.¹ But in spite of everything, YT's mom took a lot of pride in being a Fed, and so the approaching holiday seems to be giving her some kind of identity crisis.

YT will have to deal with it, of course, but she can't even right now. So she's retreated to Milliways, and is sitting out in a shady spot in the garden. The grounds are terrible skating territory, of course, but they're very different from what YT's used to at home. It's kind of...nice.

Since talking with Jay, Sameth's been thinking of other Marks to connect with weapons beyond the ones for durability, sharpness and accuracy. That's why today he's at the firing range, first tossing what look like small knives that explode but are actually Marks.

Later he has knives that he's put that Mark on, but he's not as happy with them, the accuracy isn't as good so he'll at times pause to put Charter into the metal. If he can make this work, it could be a useful weapon against the Dead and possibly put on arrows.

When the light starts to fade and when all the work has left him worn out, he comes inside to order a large dinner and see what sports he can find on television. He knows there's been soccer but he was hoping to find some rugby, so far he's only found swimming and discussion of the other games.
