The door hasn't been cooperating with Ellen much lately, which is a shame; she's been up to her eyeballs in everything going on in Philly, and dealing with news out of the Capital, and between one thing and another she could REALLY use a drink.

OH LOOK. A DOOR.

Ellen isn't part of the Church of St. Monica, so she doesn't cross herself, but she does whisper a heartfelt 'thank you' to the ceiling and head straight for the Bar with Dogmeat at her heels. Drinks first. Catch-up time and gifts later.

It's been a good Christmas. Fry didn't have to kiss anyone on the face and Grandma only complained thirteen times.

There had been some discussion among the family as to whether they should get a wedding present for the grooms. Mum had eventually said that only really liking one of the grooms is not a reason not to get them a wedding present.

She had suggested a photo album. Fry had pointed out that nobody uses real photograph albums any more. So instead they have a pair of cufflinks (Sherlock's shaped like little violins, and Jim's like microchips), and a card, signed by all the family (though Coral has wished them a 'Happy Weeding').

With that delivered, Fry settles in a corner to play with a fluffy ball he got for Christmas. Technically it was attached to a hat for some reason, but it wasn't too difficult to remove the hat.
