If Gordon had had his way, he and Barney would have been trading off door-watching shifts on a schedule that involved nine or ten hours of sleep for Barney and three for Gordon. Possibly less. It's been a long time since he looked forward to sleeping; it seldom ends well these days. On the other hand, avoiding sleep requires cooperation of both mind and body, and when the body is exhausted it gets the liberum veto.
Barney's getting his chance to sleep now. Gordon's sticking to door duty as hard as he can. And, for the sake of explaining things to Barney- and anyone else who was in City 17- the first chance he gets, attempting to compile a series of drawings that approximately render the events in the Citadel with some kind of accuracy.
It's not going all that well. He's a great draughtsman, but a terrible artist.
He's considering switching to stick figures.
