Except that the Chosen are all still stuck in a safehouse and still working on a cure, which as far as Yamato's concerned means they're still on-mission with all that entails: Watch shifts at night, everyone up at five, work beginning at seven.
Miyako and Koushiro are still battling with their pet theories, and since he was drafted to help research Koushiro's theory yesterday, today Yamato's been drafted to help with Miyako's, which means reading.
The text in question is a heavy tome, its front decorated with eight animals -- a dragon and a wolf chasing each other in a circle, and contained within that circle a lioness, a massive red bird, a walrus, some kind of rhinoceros beetle, a horse, and a snake.
Yamato's making notes as he works, and occasionally copying down some of the illustrations, a burger and milkshake left entirely forgotten and long cold next to him.
