You know what's nearly universal for community celebration? Getting together and setting meat on fire.
The bar has set up a buffet filled with delicious treats. There's plenty of styles prepped. Luau pork is on a table across from South Carolina pulled pork with sweet-hot mustard with just the right blend of spices. Korean short-ribs wink from across the aisle at St. Louis rib. Dry rub, slow roast, pulled, sliced, diced. Beef brisket and ribs are available.
But there's more! Every side you could possibly want. Kimchi, green beans, taro -- just to name a few. The sweet tooth isn't neglected, either. Kugel for desert over by the brisket, with delicate sweets to follow. Lemonade as a classic pairing but plenty of beer to go around for those who drink it.
Bar didn't forget the vegetarians: veggie burgers, tofu substitutes and more are available if that's what you're looking for. It's happy comfort food from all corners ranging from the delicately spiced and sweet to the blazingly hot, and all of it perfectly filling.
Outside, there's heat fixtures to make eating outside comfortable, admiring the snow but cozy and safe under the glow of the lamps. Plenty of long tables set up -- this is a communal activity, after all; time to bump elbows, drip some sauce about, maybe crack open a few beers. Folks are already milling about, friends gathering together and other folks making new pals they'd never met before.
All in all it's a good time, ready to welcome anyone with a hungry belly or a want for good company.
Welcome to another Milliways All-Skate!
All welcome - yes, that means all. Whether they're retired, deleted, AU, original or already being played by someone else, bring 'em along.
Usual all-skate rules apply:
1. Everyone's stressed out of their mind right now, so have fun!
2. Communication is key.
3. Gratuitous behaviour (either of a violent or sexual nature) will not be tolerated in the bar proper. Take that to an OOM, and then Content Warning the hell out of it before you link it.
4. Much like Vegas, what happens in All Skates, stays in All Skates (in most cases)
5. Please don't be a dick.
