It's the dawn of the Third Age and the heroes of the Second Age - the ones still standing - are rebuilding Middle-earth.

Healing.

The door opens and Elrond strides in, stops, and then lights up in a joyful smile.

There is stil much to do. There is still evil afoot, and much that may weigh heavy on the mind of the wise.
There are many wounds still that need healing.

But for once, there is nothing but joy in his heart. And the light in his eyes knows no shadow.

He walks over to the bar and says, "I am so glad to see you. I may not stay long, but I wish to -"

A napking appears.

He almost seem to blush as he reads it.
"Thank you," he says. "And should I just -?"

Another napkin.

He laughs and then he turns to call out, "Good people of Milliways. Food and drink is free tonight."

He is dressed in blue and silver. His hair is unbound and the circlet on his brow is unadorned.
There is a thin,silver ring on his finger, but soon it will be replaced with a ring of gold.

It is his wedding day and he would that all the worlds would share in his joy.

It's only to be expected that a risky experimental approach wouldn't work the first time it was tested. Or the third. Or the fifth.

But as it turns out, Princess Shuri of Wakanda is unmatched in skill, and so eventually, a month after he fell asleep, Bucky wakes up and faces one final test.

Afterwards, back at the Citadel, it's time to celebrate - both publicly and privately.
