Ellen will be ready to go back to her world soon, once Alyx Vance is done working her laser pistol over, but in the meantime she's pretty much out of caps. Never being one for running up debts, she's put up a sign again.
Clothing repair and tailoring done while you wait
Also all kinds of repair jobs (though not computers) and maintenance work

Look for the grey-haired girl in the Vault 101 jumpsuit
She's sitting at one of the better-lit tables, picking her combat shotgun apart and putting it back together while she waits. Who knows what people might need?
