The bar, as all patrons learn sooner or later, has a twisted sense of humor, and thus, as depicted on a certain carton if ice cream, there is an ornately clad pirate-captain-doctor standing confusedly in the middle of the bar taking in her abrupt wardrobe change.

"Oh come on. Really?"

She is a beautiful woman and he wonders if she is as dangerous as the one who calls herself the Pirate King,

"Really what, my dear? I do wish more pirates like you sailed the seas."

Frowning a little, Thirteen tugs self-consciously at her costume.

"Well that's all well and good if I were actually a pirate."

"You are not? Then truly you are simply glorious my dear."

As his music slightly dances in the background, the Pirate King is suddenly rather closer to her.

Huh, Musical accompaniment while she's being flirted at. This is new.

"Thanks, I guess. Does the Bar dress people up for every holiday?"

"No one has changed my outfit, dear lady."

There's a skeleton down the bar, whistling appreciatively with a grin on his face (other than the painted one, which is stuck there).

Thirteen easily spots the source of the whistling, and rolls her eyes at Yrael.

"Well at least someone is enjoying the wardrobe change."

The green-eyed skeleton laughs, bowing with a little too much flourish to be anything but teasing. "What? Lovely things should be shown appreciation."

The woman shrugs, ambling towards Yrael.

"I suppose so. Nice costume."

"Why thank you," he grins. "The bar seems to be rewarding me for the good sportsmanship I showed regarding last year's costume by going light on me this year."

Eyebrows raise.

"What were you dressed up as last year?"

"Apparently, a deranged ex-war hero determined to end the world," Yrael shrugs.

"His world, at least. From which some other bar patrons of my acquaintance also come, and they happened to have been dire enemies of his. It was complicated."

"Well, it's good that you get to relax this Halloween, then."

"Yeah," he smiles, sipping from his glass of milk. "A skeleton is downright easy, comparatively."

"How have you been?"

"Aside from the abrupt wardrobe change? I've been pretty good lately. You?"

Cuddy's costume is, admittedly, ironically fitting (http://www.dizguise.com/p-5790-esmeralda-village-wench-adult-costume.aspx).

"Oh, this is ridiculous."

She reaches up to touch her hair, big and in ringlets.

Thirteen whirls around at the sound of Cuddy's voice, bangles and other adornments, clinking slightly at the sudden movement. Upon spotting the older woman, Thirteen just gapes for a moment, jaw hanging.

Cuddy crosses her arms over her chest which, frankly, does nothing to help her situation.

"Absolutely ridiculous," she repeats.

Giving herself a mental shake, Thirteen's mouth snaps shut with a click, and she adopts a playfull smirk before sauntering towards Cuddy at full swagger, even resting her hand on the sword at her hip.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?"

Cuddy turns around.

She's even willing to cease her annoyance for one brief moment to stifle a laugh.

"Look at you. You get a sword. I just have this corset thing - which, by the way, is impossible to breathe in."

She laughs a little herself.

"Well, corset or no, you look gorgeous."

Cuddy smiles briefly.

"You're sweet. Although I do think the hair is a little crazy."

Grinning, Thirteen reaches out to snag one of the curls, stretching it and letting it bounce back into place.

"I think the hair is nice."

She shakes her head, though the grin remains.

"It's no sword, though."

She grins a little wider.

"You like?"
