There is a blue-haired mutant at one of the tables in Milliways today, hair cut short and cornrowed into a soft mohawk whose fringe lays just near her eyebrows as she works at the bunch of metal pieces in front of her with a frighteningly dayglo-yellow putty. It gets pressed into the metal and kneaded a bit once it comes off, as Noriko inspects it for the residues it's supposed to be removing.

Cleaning something that's an electric conductor is, at times, a royal and regular pain in the ass, but the invention of cleaning putty is a godsend. It limits the amount of time she has to spend with her arm strapped to a car battery.
