Tom and Door told her about the destruction of Milliways. She was too sad to even think about it for quite some time. All the places there, all the people, Mr. Julia... just gone? Like that? Tom said he removed the painting and broke the portal just in the knick of time.

It's more difficult without the bar to act as a go-between from Haven to London Below. She's not a strong enough opener to open a door all the way to the House of Arch by herself.

That's why one afternoon, when she has no more duties or lessons for a while, Ingress stands in the clearing where she and Megwyn have always accessed the bar. She puts her hand on the stone wall and reaches out, her eyes closed, to find the door to Milliways. If it's truly gone, there won't be a door.

But if it's still there...

And that's when Ingress finds the door and opens... into Milliways!

She steps through and laughs.

"I knew it was still here! I knew it!"
