There's a new face in Milliways tonight.

A young female human, no longer a girl but not quite a woman, with sea-green eyes and dark wavy hair that cascades down past her waist. She's dressed in blue, black, and silver, with an ebony tiara on her head.

Those who watch her for any length of time will notice something... off about her. Maybe it's that her posture isn't quite right. Maybe it's the way her hair moves all by itself every now and then. Maybe it's those eyes that are a little too large and a little too deep.

A few, particularly those with a sense for the supernatural, may be able to see past her altogether to the equine moon-goddess hiding beneath the surface.

[ooc: Princess Luna is currently sporting an illusion spell to make her appear human--she's not actually shapeshifted. Pups who can sense magical or supernatural activity should be able to tell it's an illusion, and may even be able to see past it, at your discretion. Open until it scrolls.]

"Yeah. Is that okay?"

"No! We are meant to look human, humans are not magical!"

Most of the time, at least.

He won't argue the point.

"Aren't you human?"

"Nay. 'Tis merely an illusion," she replies. "We are practicing."

"Oh. Well, it's pretty good. I mean, you do look human. Just... like a magical human."

She cants her head to one side a little. "What dost thou mean, exactly?"

"Well... your hair's acting windy, for starters."

"It is? Oh, blast it--" She frowns in concentration, her hair flickers with silvery light for a moment, and it stops moving.

"That's a lot better. The rest of it..." He looks her up and down. "Well, you look like you could be magic, but not like you definitely are."

"Thank you." A beat. "I think."

"Are you going for inconspicuous?"

"More or less," she replies. "We have been invited to visit a human world. We do not wish to cause alarm with Our appearance."

"Hmm. What kind of human world? Like, where and when?"

"I... know not," she admits.

"You might want to check about clothes before you go, then. And... there's only one of you, right?"

"W--I was using the royal 'We,'" says the woman. "'Tis a habit."

"Riiiight, you might want to be careful with that, too... Your Majesty. Highness? What do I call you?"

"Simply 'Luna' will suffice," she replies. "And what of thee? What is thy name?"

"Enzo. Enzo Matrix."

"Well met, Enzo Matrix." Luna bows a bit more deeply than a human should be able to without falling over.

"Same. Um... what are you really, if you don't mind me asking?"

She stands up.

"'Twill be simpler to show you."

Before Enzo can say yea or nay, the girl's form blurs and dissolves away like a curtain of fog, to reveal an indigo-furred mare with a long gleaming horn, flared wings, and stars gleaming in her mane and tail.

"Oh! You're a pony!" Beat. "Or... are you a horse? You're bigger than the other ponies I've met."

And fancier. He is duly impressed.

"We are a pony, yes," she replies. "We are the Princess Luna, Monarch of the Moon and Bringer of Night to all Equestria. I take it thou knowest of Our subjects?"

"A couple of 'em. Pinkie helped with my birthday party. She mentioned a princess once, but I think it was a different one."
