Kate's noticed that about him, along with how half of the things that come out of his mouth don't make any sense. They could go on for days, him talking and her asking questions about what he said.

"I don't think my mama and daddy ever fought. They found each other durin' the war. I wouldn't mind that so much, meetin' somebody I had affection for. That's why I wanna go to university."
