William's looking neater than his usually does with his hair slicked down with water and in his Sunday clothes though he's in the process of getting out of the jacket, its too tight. In his hands he's holding carefully a photograph, Mark's going off to school tomorrow and they decided to get one taken. He hadn't expected Milliways so soon but this will work as there's an extra he can give to his father. At the counter, he gets some paper to write a letter along with some coffee and some biscuits.

Along with the note is a carefully posed photograph with the two boys in Sunday best clothes looking stiff standing as their mother sits. They all look healthy and nervous.
Once that's written, he takes off his tie, folding it up and putting it into his pocket before realizing he doesn't have a book. So he turns around to look at who's in Milliways.
