"You have GOT to be kidding me."

Standing in the open doorway, Cisco stares at the bar shaking his head.

With a sigh he tosses his toolbelt onto a bench beside the doorway and steps through into Milliways, letting the door close behind him.

His annoyance at what he had to go through to get here evaporates quickly, and when he takes a seat at the counter he’s all smiles.

"Hi, Bar. Remember me?"

That is absolutely not a squeal of delight when Bar produces a napkin with a cheerful greeting and a mug of Butterbeer to go along with it, anyone who hears one is clearly just imagining things.

Taking a drink, he turns on his stool to observe the bar at large, wondering just what exactly he can get into this time.

"You mentioned Central City?"

"Cheers to that," he says, raising and tipping his beer towards Cisco before taking a swig. "So where is Central City? I admit, I ain't too familiar with the Midwest, but I never heard of it."

"Hm, yeah, that's where I'm from," Cisco replies with a nod. "Where are you from?"

If the guy says Central City, too, Cisco is going to jump right back onto the metahuman theory.

"It's a standard slang term for mixing all the flavors. You can also do it with soda fountain flavors, but I'm not a huge fan of those." Cisco likes the name, it makes it sound dangerous.

Tapping on his temple where the headache is felt most, he nods. "Basically it's your mouth freaking out about the sudden drop in temperature, and your brain is trying to send a signal to slow down."

Sipping on his straw, Cisco arches an 'oh really brow at Baze on the cream slush topic.

"Bar, orange cream slush him."

And lo' another frosty beverage appears next to Baze.

"No?" he asks, a bit surprised by that. "We're right on the Missouri River, and kind of a big deal. I mean, not like New York big, or I guess Starling City since their big almost apocalypse, but definitely on the map."

That's still not ringing any bells for Graverobber, but then again, the world has changed a hell of a lot in the last 40 years in his time, so hey, maybe there was one at some point. "Must not be as big in my time, or maybe it goes by another name," he says with a slight shrug. "Stuff changed kind of drastically over the last few decades, so who knows."

Baze cackles when the drink appears.

"Oh, nooo, now I have to drink all of these! At least they're delicious," he says, picking up the orange cream slush.

He sips for a long while, thoroughly enjoying himself.

"That's awesome. I'm sorry I doubted you. So your mouth has the capacity to freak out? My headache's gone, is yours?"

"Louisiana for most of my life. Near Houma these days. Ever been?" He suspects that there already being a second person from there in the Bar - Tess Mercer - needs everyone else has never even heard of it.

Cisco is just delighted by the service, and the fact that apparently you really can order anything.

"You say that like it's a problem," Cisco notes, amused. "Really it's only an issue if you have trouble maintaining through a sugar rush." Which Cisco can already feel starting to come on in himself.

"Oh yeah. It's like, if you eat something super hot. You're mouth freaks out then, too." Caitlin or maybe Barry could probably explain it better, but that's the gist. "It's a short lived effect though. Mine's already gone, too."

"I'd never had a sugar rush until I came here," Baze says, returning to the first slush.

"I had no idea why I suddenly had so much energy. And the crash was awful. I'd better pace myself here, but if I do that the ice will melt. I wonder if butterbeer tastes better warmed? I'm glad your headache is gone!"

"Yeah, maybe. I'm still figuring out how stuff works here," he already compiling a list of things to ask Barry who seems to have been coming here awhile.

"What about you, where in California are you from?"

Cisco shakes his head. "I haven't, but heading down to Louisiana for an authentic crab boil is totally on my bucket list."

"It's kind of like having superpowers, but yeah, suffering the crash is the penalty you pay for it."

Chunking up his ice again, Cisco suggests, "Maybe you can get an insulated cup from Bar. That'll keep it icy."

As for Cisco, he's on a mission to drink all of his now.

"Or maybe I can have her refreeze it," Baze says, blinking down at his four--four!--drinks. He drains his tea and sets the cup down to disappear just to get it out of the way.

"Or will that ruin the texture?"

"Genetic City. It's only existed for about the last thirty years or so," he says. "A company called GeneCo set up shop in the Bay Area and got huge, and a city basically cropped up around them the bigger they got. I've been there basically since birth."

"Make sure to try the gumbo. And the beignets." He misses beignets. "I haven't been to Central in a while."

"It's been way too long since I got to do either," he confesses. "I used to DM, but that was like years ago."

"Bummer. What keeps you busy?" Hopefully it's something interesting.

"Totally will do," Cisco pledges.

"Central City is a great place to hit up, if for nothing else than the Big Belly Burgers alone. I swear we've got the best."

Cisco looks over the assortment of drinks, not quite seeing the problem.

"I guess that depends on if you like Popsicles," he replies. "If you stick it in a freezer it'll solidify, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just won't be slush anymore."

"GeneCo? That sounds like an evil corporation," Cisco notes.

He's totally joking, but at the same time not, because seriously, it's got a kind of Blue Sun, Umbrella Corporation vibe to it.

"Popsicle? Like an icicle? That's clever," Baze says, chuckling. He picks up his butterbeer and takes a gulp, holding the liquid in his mouth for a few seconds before swallowing.

"I like the slush texture. That's half the point, isn't it? I'll just drink them all now. So, were you mad at Barry for keeping this place a secret?"

"It's mostly the point," Cisco replies, glad that Baze seems to understand the greatness of the slush.

Taking a long pull on his straw, Cisco gives a half head shake and a shrug. "Nah. Kind of annoyed, but I guess I get it. Sort of."

A beat, and he finally relents, "Okay, I guess I am a bit mad, because this is one helluva secret to keep from a friend. Especially because of everything else in our friendship. But I guess I can't be mad, mad about it. Right?"

Graverobber makes a low, unreadable noise while he tries to phrase his reply. "They're...complicated," is what he eventually says, taking another sip of his drink before continuing. "I mean, they're evil, I'm not denying that. They also saved the world. So most people love 'em."

Cisco arches a brow.

"Okay... " He kind of gets it, though. It's almost the opposite of S.T.A.R. Labs; they're not evil, but after a giant explosion most people hate them. And now they're saving the world, or the city, at least...

"We'll go with complicated," he says with a nod, agreeing to leave it there.
