Sonya hadn't really meant to enter Milliways-it just happened. The memorial service was lovely (or as lovely as possible for a solemn occasion), but any service in remembrance of the fallen made her think of the men and women who'd served with her and didn't make it. The ceremony required nothing more than for her to attend and pay her respects, and yet by the end, she found herself completely drained.
She could only figure that was why milliways showed when it did, to provide her a temporary respite before going back to the Base. Sure, those in the Base had the day off, but right now, she just needed some time away. Instead of going to the Bar itself, she took a detour to her old room to change into a spare set of BDUs.
Five minutes after her entrance, Sonya took a seat by the fire, actually ordering a tea service along with some toast. Sitting with a cup of tea and listening to her ipod, she tried her best to unwind from the day.
The tea service came with an extra cup, saucer and spoon, if anyone felt like joining her.
ooc: will be busy for the rest of the day, but in honor of Remembrance/ Veterans day, I felt the need to post something up.
