"It's been... well," she takes a slow breath, and sighs, rubbing the cat's ears. She doesn't know exactly how to put it. 'Difficult,' as he said, covers so much of it. "It's both dangerous and frustrating to face up to the fact that everyone who should be on the same side either isn't on the same side or are being prevented from working together as they ideally would. Not knowing how far one can trust one's allies... frays my nerves like little else can."
