Matt inclines his head, accepting her words and her promise.

"Thank you, Rae."

His own soup has gone cold and while Matt hasn't finished, he's at least eaten more than he would have if Rae hadn't joined him.

Picking up his cane, Matt says to her, "I should get going. My partner will be back from meeting with the other firm soon and, I've got some things to get ready for myself."

Namely a trip back to the precinct to have a 'talk' with either of the officers involved in today's events.

"I'm glad we had a chance to talk. It's always nice meeting you here."
