One of the satisfying but time consuming aspects of Cassian's work is creating and getting forged scandocs to those who need them. Today he's set up at a booth with caf and is using Milliways' time to do slicing and forging. Mainly this involves rearranging data and doublechecking to make certain that the details are right for that section of the Empire.

The voice in the bag is disconcerting and under the table, Cassian touches his blaster for reassurance. He follows their gaze and lifts up a pass, “A doc for traveling.”

Bastion picks up on the discomfort in Cassian's body language, but isn't sure where it came from. Was it something they said? Maybe he didn't want to talk about the travel documents, but he did show it to them.

"Bwee-woop?" There's another slight pause, the thing in the bag makes a squeaky whistling noise like a radio being tuned way too fast, and then in a different robotic voice, deeper and with less varied intonation, "-omething wrong?"

They swivel their head towards the dangling lizard bag. "Bzzrp vwip vwee," they say, gesturing toward it with their manipulator arm and unzipping the lizard's mouth-zipper, revealing a metal box with a speaker and a lot of dials and clunky mechanical switches and levers. The box says, "Khadgar got me an external translator. It's glitchy."

When he sees the speaker Cassian relaxes, “That’s clever. The voice coming from the lizard surprised me.”
