Summer Pies with Sunshine

It it a brilliantly bright day, warm and sunny. The kind of warmth that seeps into one's bones, but doesn't yet carry the full weight of summer heat. Sunshine has been busy since before dawn, and when the early afternoon rolls around, the proofs of her labors start to show. She takes down the specials board first and disappears back into the warm, fragrant kitchens.

When she re-emerges, it's with a list, which soon hangs over the counter. A sizeable list, at that.

Sunshine, her damp hair still held back by a blue and yellow kerchief, pours herself a tall, cold glass of the lavender soda, and leans back against the far counter beyond the Bar itself.
